Seven Step Campaign To Get The Dem Memo Story Out

Seven Step Campaign To Get The Dem Memo Story Out

This time, we the people will not stand for GOP spinelessness.  We will not let the GOP simply “Move On” from the vicious, unethical Dem memo.

If you have not read it yet, click HERE.

If you have not read Zell Miller’s reaction, click HERE.

1)  Click HERE to open the “Send Fax” window.

2)  Cut and paste this phone number AS WRITTEN into the "The FAX Number" field:

    1 202 224 3514

3)  Address the fax to "Senator Pat Roberts" and don't forget to put your email address where it tells you to or your email will not be sent!

4)  Write your own message to the Senator expressing your outrage at the Dem memo, or cut and paste this sample:

    Dear Senator,

As a grassroots supporter, I am OUTRAGED at the unwillingness of Republican Senators, the MAJORITY party, to take on the Democrat party on the Democrat memo outlining a political strategy to use the power and resources of the Senate Intelligence Committee as a political tool against our President, and the leader of our party.

I am DISGUSTED by the repeated lack of testicular fortitude of my party's Senators.  I am SICKENED by the way the Majority Republicans allow the Minority Democrats to continually steamroll them on EVERY ISSUE.

I, and my cohorts, are the people who put and keep Republican Senators in office.  If our party's Senators will not represent and zealously advocate the interests of "we the people" who put you in office, then you can expect a well-funded (by a our various well-organized grassroots organization) primary challenge from a Republican who has what it takes to take on these acid tongued, vicious, partisan Democrats.

So, please, start fighting for us.  Take the Democrats head-on.  Take to the airwaves.  Do what it takes to effectively represent us, your grassroots supporters, or you will risk losing our support.

We are fighters.  We have fought hard over the years, collectively, to put you and your peers into office.  Please don't forget that, and please return the favor by fighting for us.

Thank you.

YOUR NAME

YOUR ADDRESS

5)  Click "FAX IT!"

6)  Here are other numbers you can fax this to:

Senator Frist        1 202 228 1264

Senator Kyl         1 202 224 2207

Senator McConnell (email)    senator@mcconnell.senate.gov

Senator Santorum (webform)  santorum.senate.gov/emailrjs.html

7)  Email your friends with a link to this page (copy the URL from the address bar at the top of your page and paste it into an email to your friends).

Great Job!!!

Don't let it happen.

It already has. By Friday the Dems will be attacking Bush again like nothing happened. I made anumber of calls today to various Senators and Congressmen's offices. Every reaction was lukewarm at best.

Just sent:

It is vital that the National Republican Senatorial Committee NOT give the Democrats a pass on their planned use of the power and resources of the Senate Intelligence Committee as a political tool against our President!

There are no words strong enough that convey the urgency of this plea. We cannot let this wanton abuse of power and privilege stand. Were anyone save these people caught planning to use sensitive and classified information to the detriment of our government, it would be justly prosecuted for the crime of treason.

I cannot stress enough that the Republicans cannot give the Democrats a pass on this. This situation is absolutely untenable and must be addressed without delay.

Your failure to do take on this serious matter will do nothing to further your cause. If anything, any inaction on this issue will ultimately result in a crisis of confidence in your leadership capacity.

Did you catch Saxby Chambliss on Hannity radio talking bout what a "quality guy" Jay Rockefeller is?

I heard that and wanted to throw up!!

Then Sean goes on about how we Republicans should stand up an make this a big issue. With Sean leading the way tonight on Hannity and Combs we had

3 minutes of John Corzine dodging the issue and 57 minutes of how nothing happened in the Laci Paterson case today (really nothing at all happened with the trial, Everybody had the day off yet they filled the whole program with it)

Way to go Sean! Maybe tomorrow the interview with Laci's dog groomer will be short and we could get a whole 5 minutes to this subject.

The New Tone is a complete failure. This memo cements how the New Tone is being exploited by the rats. However, the Senate and White House, should they slug it out over this memo?

At first, I thought this was another genuine betrayal by a disillusioned liberal. But perhaps this is a Trojan Horse? If the GOP senate and White House get hostile over this, it could draw attention to something that makes GW's character look questionable. It would be like the NYT trying to smear the Free Republic, with a multi-million dollar media blitz. That would only help us, right?

This might be one of those moments where the private sector [the non-liberal media] can achieve what the government may not be able to achieve. The GOP senators are now on alert. They want to pick a fight they know they can win. This fight is not entirely clear to swing voters. Perhaps if it is made clear, the GOP could crush them. But they don't have room to manuever, because they've held their punches on much more serious issues in the past, such as Chinagate, the Ron Brown Crash, Waco, the Foster coverup, Filegate, Tainted Blood, and perverse art in the NEA. In fact, that ought to be a puffball, 100% safe issue they could sink their teeth into, perverse art in the NEA. They'd win a lot more on that one, which is clear cut. But well, they have this New Tone thing going, and if they are willing to have our tax money pay for "Piss Christ", why does anyone think they will pick a complex issue that revolves around some fuzzy GW scandal?

I am glad there is so much energy out there. At the same time, I hate to see people tackle something like this, which is wa.....ay over the heads of many voters. It might not be the ideal rally point.

I'm not a big fan of Hannity, and I never watch his show. I only listen to him on the radio during Bob Grant's commercial breaks. Your criticism of him is right on the money. Laci Peterson? Gimme a break!

I am irate, this democrat memo is a travesty. The conciliatory manner of the republicans in addressing this falls far short of the outrage it should engender. The memo basically says the democrats are playing the republicans for fools to get as much from them as they can, then cast them aside for an independent investigation.

This borders on treason, and it is time the republican party stands up to this abhorrent tactic, instead of bending over backward to capitulate. It is time the republican party stands up and fights for those of us who vote for them, and authorizes a full and complete investigation into the politicization of this committee. This cannot be allowed, this committee deals with information too sensitive for it to ever be allowed to be used in the manner that memo seeks to use it. It is despicable.

The republicans cannot let them change the subject, or divert it to the intelligence investigation, what they did was criminal and heads should roll. There is no justification, and it cannot be allowed to be swept under the carper for the sake of decorum in the Senate. Their ability to lead is at stake, their credibility to fight those who would seek to use that committee for propaganda and political purposes is being challenged.

The republicans need to stop playing softball, the democrats aren't, as this memo points out. No matter how good of friends republicans think they are, they have no hesitation to use the republicans on the committee without batting an eye.

It is time for the republicans to start acting like a majority party.
