Thank you - here's the letter I sent:

Dear Senator Rockefeller:

After reading about the "memo" that came out of your office I ask you to resign from the U.S. Senate this afternoon. You are no longer to be trusted with the security of the Republic. It is obvious that in your zeal to get your crooked political party into office at any cost, including the nation's security, that you and your cronies in the Democrat Party will stop at nothing to attain such power. Face it, Senator, your friends in the media no longer have totalitarian control over public opinion. The American people are rejecting leftists, and the Democrat party, in each election. They are smart enough to know when they smell a rat, that it's time to eliminate the rat. Because rats are dangerous and filthy. And rats are not fit to lead this great nation.

Since you are a liberal, and clearly are on the wrong side of history, I feel the need to explain something very basic to you. America is a force for good. The liberation of Iraq is an important step in Middle East progress. Why would you support the continuance of the Hussein regime? Are you in favor of women having no rights, and being swept up to be raped by Saddam's evil sons? Are you in favor of people being subjugated to evil tyrants? (That one may not register with leftists, as they all support totalitarian methods.) Are you out of your mind?

In my opinion, you and almost every member of the Democrat party are reflexively anti-American, and whether smart enough to realize it or not, are working hard to dissolve the Republic. Again, America is a force for good. You and your colleagues are clearly enemies of the United States of America, and you WILL be held accountable. The American people are angry at leftists who are trying to undermine our great country, and our great deeds in freeing people from totalitarian horror. You are supportive of that horror, and probably would surrender our sovereignty to the thugs and criminals at the U.N. for money or personal gain.

You must resign for the good of the country. Before the country snaps and determines that idiots like you must be removed immediately. Thanks for your service; leave NOW, Senator!

Dear Sen. Rockefeller,

Apparently, this memo exposes the fact that the Senate Intelligence Committee has been confiscated for use as a witch hunt tool of the Democrat Party. The purpose being - bring down this president no matter what.

So, since this is the case - the Senate Intelligence Committee is no longer a valid committee. The country cannot afford to provide war time intelligence to a committee whose purpose is to take down the President of the United States.

How stupid do the democrats think we are to turn over top-secret records to witch-hunters. Do they really expect a Commander-in-Chief to be willing to TRUST security information in the hands of those so desperate for power they confiscate a top security committee?

I will be even more furious if this administration puts our soldiers and our security contacts at risk by giving the information to be used to seek power by an opposing party. They would not be able to do anything with that information if they could not get it out to the public. It then endangers our intelligence informants, our soldiers, our war efforts.

No, the Democrats have shot themselves in the rear end on this.

NO INTELLIGENCE TO THIS COMMITTEE UNTIL THOSE INVOLVED IN THIS SUBVERSION ARE CLEARED OUT.

This is an abuse of taxpayer funds. I do not intend to spend taxpayer funds to help the Democrats take down a sitting president in the midst of executing a war.

why is it that a state that gets far more tax money back than it puts in the pot in the first place have to allow its residents to eat roadkill?

The state didn't have to allow residents to eat roadkill - they were doing it anyway because, no matter how much $$$ pours into W.Va. and no matter how many roads, bridges, outhouses, schools and parking garages bear Robert C. Byrd's name, there still are a lot of people here living in abject poverty (that ol' Democrat plantation mentality).

If you read that letter carefully what do you think: "Resign before the country snaps and removes you immediately" means? There is a lot of sentiment out there just short of violence and if people feel threatened by their gov't they will do something about it.

I for one would like to see an angry backlash in 04 at the polls like like in 1994 and reduce the Dems to making up 1/4 of the representation in both houses. They would be an impotent powerless minority and that would suit me fine. I hope that happens. It just happened in the recent Israeli elections where Likud just plastered Labor.

I frankly think that civil war is in the future. Cultural norms of middle America are routinely violated--not just insulted, violated--by the liberals who think that they can just take over and we'll all sit still for it.

If they don't back off, I do believe we will see violence on a large scale, here in the USA.

But not now...
