Hello my FRiends,

I spoke with my dear friend, Freeper uprisen, and she really needs our help. Her hip has been broken for some time now, and was not correctly diagnosed (the break was in the back). She has been unable to walk, relying on wheelchairs, crutches, or a cane, and the bone has been badly displaced.

She is asking for your prayers to bring a good orthopedic surgeon to her, and that the damage is repaired so she can walk again. The Brand K HMO has been slow in responding, and she finally had a CAT scan last week, I believe. The MRI results took weeks to receive. (I hope I'm getting these details down accurately.)

In addition, I ask that your prayers bring healing to her spirit and her heart. This has been extremely difficult for her and her family.

Oh, uprisen!!

I can identify with your pain although I did not have a broken hip (auto accident a long time ago) but a dislocated one that landed me in a hospital bed for 21 days of traction and pins, etc. to get things hung back together.

I now have lots of arthritic spurs am will be looking forward to a hip replacement next summer.

I fell and broke my kneecap this last summer -- so the steps with a bummer hip on the L and a bummed out kneecap on the R has been no help at all! LOL!

Anyway -- prayers from me are definitely on the way! God bless you and heal you in a speedy manner!

Beloved Heavenly Father,

Surround now our friend known to us as 'uprisen' in a swaddling garment of light woven from our prayers and your love.

Father, we place on the altar our concern for her broken hip. Bring to her the orthopedic surgeon who is the one best suited to help her at this time for this situation. Overshadow all her medical professionals and grant them insight, wisdom, and compassion as they deal with her case.

Our petition is that all surgeries, medications, pain management measures, antibiotic treatments, and any other therapies or procedures performed by medical professionals are 100% effective. We call for total healing and the ability for this servant to once more be able to walk.

Take command, Father, of the entire situation involving her HMO care. Shatter all opposition to a positive speedy disposition of her case! Shatter any and all momentums of hard-heartedness which can sometimes take root in the health care bureaucracies! Take command of any and all insurance or financial concerns.

Father, enfold this servant with the garment of your Peace. Heal any damage to her spirit which unrelieved pain, stress, and fears can cause. Grant strength, courage, and Peace to her and to all in her family as they bear together the challenges of this ordeal.

Let this be done only according to thy Will, and let it be done for any and all who are in a similar situation.
