I was reading a post earlier this morning that certainly showed the poster's anger toward this memo and the lame handling of same. Before I scrolled down to the name I thought to myself - this has to be Judith Anne! Sure enough it was. Your suggestions are resounding, your anger is understandable, your post bears repeating, and your passion deserves applause:

I don't care if Drudge is spiking the story, and I don't care why.

What I DO care about is letting every single member of the Senate know that ROCKEFELLER MUST RESIGN, and the truth must come out.

FReepers do indeed have a huge amount of clout, when we all ACT!

I call on lurkers, on FReepers, and everyone to each, individually, call, write, or fax senators and the White House to add our encouragement to the Senate to keep the the Hypocrats feet to the fire, to continue to be strong, to be loud, to support America's troops and a wartime president in denouncing this memo, tracing the source, and publishing it for every American to see.

But resignation alone is hardly sufficient punishment for treason. Whoever is involved has put American lives at risk; she/they must be charged with treason and prosecuted.

Rockefeller thinks he is unassailable. Far from repudiating the memo, he defended it! He thinks that he can keep his office and his position on the Intel Committee, keep on funneling intelligence to HYPOCRAT news outlets (leaking) keep on attacking the President in wartime, keep on compromising troop safety in the name of politics, and he thinks, above all, that nothing will happen as a result of this.

He THINKS he's invulnerable!

I say, he's not.

I say, FReepers can bring him down.

I say, FReepers can expose the truth.

I say, if this isn't treason, it's the first cousing to treason.

I say, Senator Rockefeller doesn't belong on the committee, doesn't belong in the Senate, and doesn't belong in America!

Thinking about it, could the Clinton's even have cursed our Nation for 8 long years if big media had actually done its job and reported the truth? Therein lies the problem.

We know who is openly treasonous (the RATs), but isn't the pattern of consistently feigned ignorance, malfeasance and benign neglect that characterizes the Republicans just as dangerous and bordering on aiding and abetting treason? I have preferred to think of the White House, DOJ and the leadership in the House and Senate as merely trying to walk a 'high road,' but this open assault on the Republic that has gone on for over a decade and has simply become too much to maintain any pretense of civility.

A pig wallowing in it's own excrement is fine when it is safely confined in it's pen. If that pig, however, is doing such things in the home of the farmer (let alone the inner sanctums of our Republic), then I see little reason to make a distinction between the farmer and his swine (or the leadership of the national parties).
