I hear you. I think it is a little weird that 2 day ago the D.O.T. changed the traffic patterns going into the Lincoln to help traffic move smother. Today you can check the traffic and find out that the tunnel is worse that ever. I also heard WABC this morning that is seems the traffic patterns are being changed every couple of hours. I say there will be no attack today or tomorrow because our Intel knows what is going down and is already working on stopping it.

Yes, it's kind of quiet today. I have to admit the latest postings look more like NFL audibles than anything else. I took a crack at deciphering one of them...

That's a real smart deduction there. Look if they don't hit us on the 11th then great either it was bunk or our forces were able to stop them.

But to say they have been defeated is quite a stretch. It's gonna take a lot of time to stop them and I suspect maybe even generations. In a few years it may not even be AQ we are dealing with but a group who claims to be it's decendent.

The only way to win this war is to change the culture of the mid east. We have to stop the teachings that have led us to this point over there.

Also for those of you who favor nukeing them, that won't work either because all that will do is breed more hate against us from nations who are/suppose to be our allies. Remember a nuke will not only effect the middle east, it will effect a much wider area because of the fallout and nuclear cloud that will travel across the earth effecting other countries.

If you doubt that then go do some research on what happened with chernobal and the cloud that traveled after that nuclear accident.

Of course it doesn't mean they've been wiped from the face of the earth. That's the whole point. Some people look at an intelligence source and decide that if it fails, it's completely unreliable. Most people don't understand that even the FBI and CIA and the President, himself, are assaulted with bogus information all the time from a variety of sources, yet they still have to weed through it to find the truth. The threat matrix is non-stop empty threats, but they take it seriously enough to review it EVERY DAY.

If America is going to win the war on terror, we have to accept that there are going to be a lot of headfakes and fabrications. It's the one grain of truth amidst all the crap that makes a 9/11 come to pass... I know it's tiring and it loses its flavor, but we have to remain vigilant. It's our only hope.
