Mark Steyn: General Cool

Great Steyn profile on Tommy Franks, a Wynnwood, Oklahoman raised in Midland, Texas ! The Texas College mentioned is The University of Texas at Arlington. My Alma Mater.

"One problem with this plan....It looks like Dean isn't going to be stopped."

You got anything to say about this ping!

Well, ole Howard "James" Dean turned down Federal matching funding (or whatever it's called) and looks like Kerry is going to do the same.

So it's Dean or hitlery vs GW Bush, I agree.

I do.

Those tanks and other track vehicles were not provided by Clark or the 1st Cav.

Wasn't Clark the source of the military hardware for Reno's slaughter at Waco? And wasn't he then rewarded by Clintooooon for his cooperation by giving him the NATO command?

Meek, were you living in Texas when Waco went down?

"I got the rope" has some good points here . .

The soldiers I know had know idea why they were training the Feds with these vehicles. They would have never followed an order to take down a Church. Remember these were TEXANS. The soldiers that helped in training were members of the 112th of the 49th Armored Division. I'm not sure how Clark would have been involved. He was 1st CAV. This was a Democrat cluster f$%# from the beginning. Janet Reno was never held accountable for lying.

ANN W. RICHARDS
Governor of Texas

Your tag-line (Why aren't the Clintons living out their remaining years on Alcatraz?)

Umm, didn't they close Alcatraz, like, way back when? (Giggles)

Info has been out there since before Clark declared for office that would stop almost any candidate. IMHO, Clark is, and has always been a figment of the liberal press. How else could he be taken seriously, with as many verbal blunders as he has made? The press skips the bad and highlights the things they want the peons to believe.

Oh, Lord! Let Hillary(!) step in to save the party! I suspect her popularity is miles wide, but paper thin, and she would be VERY humiliated at the result.

Regards

Don Carlos

Yes, Alcatraz has been closed for a long time. I want them to re-open it for the Clintons and make it an amusement attraction. We could raise a huge amount of money for the country. I would pay $100 to go see them in a prison cell. Millions of people would. They could sell t-shirts, coffee mugs, pennants, striped commerative jail outfits, Bill and Hillary prison dolls, etc.

Hillary has wide support in her constituency. She would wage and brutal and controlled campaign. She scares me.

You are right, Hillary is scary! I doubt (hope?) we as a nation do not have to go through a spectacle like that. It would be very ugly!

Hey, I'd buy a tee and coffee mug in a minute if they re-opened Alcatraz for the Clintons! (Of course, I'm the guy who paid a buck to listen to a mouse pee on a cotton ball!)

I think the Clinton Alcatraz project could make tens of millions of dollars. Or hundreds of millions each year.

No doubt! The Clinton 0 cent postage stamp showing Bent Willy behind bars probably made someone a few dollars. The Alcatraz thing could be a gold mine.

Hey, whadda ya think if we . . .

Seriously, if there is anything at all I can do to help these two cretins get their just reward, I'm in!

Clark made a lot of enemies in his military career.

Most (successful) generals eliminate "a lot of enemies in" their military careers. Guess he can't run on that part of his life.

Anyway, this guy's thinking is a little too complex for a bozo like me. I cannot understand what he says, especially resolving his opinions from his statements delivered on different days. They seem like irresolvable contradictions to me--or worse. I must be a real dummie, so I'm voting for Bush.

Sounds like I got the rope is more informed on the Waco thing better than I am.

I do know this, though. I voted for Bush to kick her arse out of office. She was one mean and ignorant Liberal bi*ch. I still recall her stupid remark about George Bush in the campaign. Something about Poor George ... he was born with a silver foot in his mouth. Class warfare, he's a rich kid that can't speak good English and is trying to buy her office. (You were a sorry governor Ann. Now Dubya is President. Whatcha got to say about THAT, huh ???? Nevermind, I don't wanna hear it !! lol!)

Of course, I would have voted for Bush regardless. But ole Annie made it possible for me to laugh hard as I walked away from the polling place and then see her get beat !!

Dean is forgoing matching funds not only because he is doing well w/ internet fundraising, but because this allows Soros to open up the money spigots...

Asked whether he would trade his $7 billion fortune to unseat Bush, Soros opened his mouth. Then he closed it. The proposal hung in the air: Would he become poor to beat Bush? He said: “If someone guaranteed it.”

Soros will "Hedge" his political bets because he knows no one can guarantee Bush can be defeated.
