Email from Vice President Cheney, Nov 10, 2003

November 10, 2003

Dear xxxxxx,

The election year begins today.

Next November our fellow Americans will go to the polls to elect the President of the United States and to chart the course of our nation.

Voting is every American's responsibility, perhaps the most serious and important duty we have as citizens.

Yet for people like us, xxxxxx, working to elect our nation's leaders is not something that happens once every four or even every two years. You and I take this responsibility seriously every day.

And like President Bush, we know that our vigilance is the price we pay to ensure our liberty and freedoms.

That's why I am writing you today -- one year from the election. First, I want to thank you again for all you have done for President Bush, our Party and our nation over the years.

But second, I am writing to ask you personally to support the President's reelection

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/ReelectOurPresident/

I ask you to please send your 2004 One Year Out contribution of $204, $104, or even $54 to join the Bush-Cheney '04 team today.

In less than two months the Democrats will go to the polls in New Hampshire and Iowa to pick their nominee for President. We need the help of every Bush supporter to help Bush-Cheney '04 finish laying the groundwork for our campaign programs in the next twenty days.

Thanks to key Bush-Cheney '04 supporters, the President and our Bush-Cheney '04 team have begun to build a network of grassroots leaders in every state, have drawn up a county-by-county election plan, and have made great strides targeting 3 million new Bush voters.

We could not have done any of this without the faithful, consistent support from thousands of members of the Bush-Cheney '04 team. In fact you can use our secure online donation system to make a small recurring monthly contribution of $104, $74, or even $54 until Election Day. Please sign up today.

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/ReelectOurPresident/

But let us make no mistake ... this battle will be hard fought. And there is little doubt that it will be close. The outcome could hinge on as few as 10,000 total votes in key states across the country.

The Democrats and their liberal special interest allies have been using fiery rhetoric that sharply illustrates what is at stake in this election.

Not a single day has passed that the Democratic presidential candidates, the Democratic Party and their liberal allies haven't called into question the President's character, his veracity, even the President's leadership on the War on Terrorism.

Yet, our President has remained focused on the people's business, winning the War on Terrorism, cutting taxes, working to create jobs and a strong economic recovery, reforming public education, and improving Medicare.

Our choices are clear. xxxxxx, if you believe President Bush is the right man for the challenges that America faces today, please join the Bush-Cheney team with your contribution of $204, $104, or $54 today. Your support is needed to ensure we have the means to share the President's message with the American people and correct the Democrats' mischaracterization of the Bush-Cheney record.

http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/ReelectOurPresident/

Our nation needs George W. Bush as President for four more years. And the President and I need the commitment you have shown in the past to win the contest of this coming year.

Sincerely,

/s/ Richard B. Cheney

P.S. The election year is upon us. xxxxx, twelve months from today, our fellow Americans will go to the polls. The outcome of this election depends on the work that key grassroots supporters like you are doing now. So please join the Bush-Cheney '04 team with your contribution today. Thank you.

Bush Blogs and the Grassroots' Movements are Changing Campaigns

Vice-President Cheney just sent out an e-mail to hundreds of thousands of Bush supporters seeking campaign contributions. What is so special about that? Take a look at the denominations he is seeking:Well, as anyone who has followed the on-line movement in support of the President knows, these are the exact amounts the campaign has been receiveing and could tabulate as specifically from Internet fundraising alone. This was a movement championed by people like Josh McClain and picked up by many bloggers across the blogosphere like the cool chicks at Right We Are and even yours truly. Well it is now quote obvious that we are making a real difference and, as if there was any question, the campaign is embracing/supporting our efforts to re-elect this great President during this most important moment of our generation.

Get on board now and do what you can to support the President by answering both Vice President Cheney's call and the call of the Bush Bloggers everywhere!

Posted the Blogsforbush.yahoo.com comments on this thread because they immediately spotted that the Vice President was referencing the Campaign that was launched here on FR and other conservative sites of $4 for '04 when you donate to the Presidential campaign. That idea has spread across the Internet as Grassroots donations have increased dramatically with the $4 added to each contribution from the Grassroots.

The Bush-Cheney campaign has made the Grassroots movement one of the pillars of the campaign and we want them to know that the Grassroots continues to stand strongly behind the Bush-Cheney '04 reelection campaign for FOUR MORE YEARS!

With the Vice President recognizing $4 for '04 campaign contributions, we are asking you to please continue to donate to Bush-Cheney making sure your donations end with a "4" for the Grassroots campaign of $4 for '04! Thanks to all who have donated and to those who will be making donations in the future.

In reality, the election campaign for 2004 got underway in the Dem Media the day SCOTUS stopped the FL shenannigans. The Media has been in 2004 Campaign Mode ever since. ABC, in all of its news and news-oriented programs (such as Primetime Live and 20-20) has already had a "Vote 2004" logo as part of its lower-right-corner bug since summer. A year out, and they're desperately trying for turnout.

That's cool that the $4 for '04 is recognized by Cheney. Do you recall who it was that originally came up with the idea?

Folks I comtribute to the GOP from time to time. I constently get mail and phone calls from the party asking for contibutions. It is getting to be counter productive. I get 2 or 3 letters a week. It is almost a nuisance. Does any body else feel this way. What ever I send them, they spend at least as much in letters and phone calls. There time and money would be better spent soliciting people not as a true republican as I am.

Howard Dean: Metrosexual

Listen http://www.onpointradio.org/shows/2002/07/20020703_a_main.asp

Howard Dean says he's running for President, and on paper he's quite a candidate.

He's the longest-serving Democratic governor. He signed the first law in the country to allow gay unions. And, he's got the endorsement of America's favorite president-that-isn't: Martin Sheen.

In real life, most Americans would pass Howard Dean on the street without a second glance. Can a candidate with just about zero national name-recognition actually make a viable run for the nation's highest office? Tonight, Howard Dean, the invisible candidate.

Google Search for Metrosexual
