When the DemocRATS come under fire for making public statements jeopardizing our troops and the war on terror, they quickly get defensive. They shout back -- Don't question my patriotism.

I had not done that before. I questioned their judgment and sanity. But I didn't question their patriotism. Now I do. I suspect that the treason memo from Senator Rockefeller did it for me.

In times of war, you don't go to a foreign country and verbally assault the commander in chief. That is particulary true for an elected official. You don't give aid and comfort to the enemy by attacking the commander in chief and making our enemies believe that we are hesitant about staying the course in this war for our survival against Islamist terrorism. That only strengthens their resolve against us.

What must it be doing to the heroes who risk their lives for us every day? They hear DemocRATS talk about cutting and running. Are they wondering if what they are doing is worthwhile? Is that going to help our troop morale and their resolve? They do not need to watch on TV or hear on the radio that this nation is questioning why they are there. We cannot make them feel that this is Vietnam revisited. Many of the same people who showed their contempt for America in the '60s are doing the same thing now.

We admire and give thanks to John Kerry and Charlie Rangel for their service to our country. Unfortunately, sometimes vets can do bad things. That is what they are doing now. They are hurting our nation's effort to fight this war. And they are doing it shamelessly because they want power. It is all about their own power.

You cannot be supporting the troops while at the same time verbally attacking the commander in chief for all the world to see.

When I hear them say, "Don't question my patriotism," I will respond with, "my butt." It is about time we are all questioning their patriotism.

I agree with you completely. The dems can resort to any contrived accusation they want. But just try to challenge their real lack of patriotism and they become, shall we say, indignant. Well, from now on, I too will say, "My butt!

Yeah, I find it funny that so many democrats tell us not to question there patriotism becuase they may have served. Well, Timothy McVeigh served also. So did Lee Harvey Oswald. So did John Muhammad. That crap don't fly with me. I will question them to their faces.

Its all good though, because the dim party is just screwing itself daily. They will feel the heat again during the next election cycle, as if the latest didn't wake them up.

When my liberal co-workers say that they "support the troops" but "don't support the war", I simply ask them:

"Great! So, when was the last time you sent out a care package?"

It always shuts them up.

What they fal to realize is that to the soldier, "the mission" is everything to them. To tell the troops that you don't support their mission is the same as saying you don't support them.

I was in the Army for 8 years. Unfortunately, sometimes when you are doing operations you lose sight of why you are doing it. You tend to think about home and "why the hell is this taking so long." It doesn't fully hit them until years after, when they see the tangible results of their actions.

I also shed tears when I hear of casualties. In some ways I wish they would send more troops and really really beef up patrols and raids, but I know we can't present to much of a show for political reasons. I will tell you one thing, Bush has to make some very tough decisions, and everytime a dem opens their mouth it just pisses me off.

One thing I do is ask liberals if they think statements like "America deserved 9/11" are anti-American. If they say yes, I point out the American that said it and they back track. Then I point out the dictator who said it and they can agree it sounds anti-American. Then I ask if they really think that the same exact quote changes from being anti-American to being pro-American just because of who says it . It at least makes them pause awhile.

We have the most precision weapons on the planet for a reason; to reduce civilian casualties.
