Nuts! Just on principal, I'd LOVE to buy a Hummer with these boneheads protesting, and not one of those sissy H-2s! I want a REAL Hummer.

I want the real one, the one with the turbo diesel, top speed of 83 mph, planetary reduction gear in the hubs, in-board disk brakes, etc...

The only problem is that one of those costs nearly double what I paid for my house! :-(

It would appear that the fuel mileage is the problem. Will limousines also be protested? They often have even lower fuel efficiency, as does my Camaro Z28 when driven in the city.

It sounds like their big event will be Saturday. Maybe, that's the one that we should counter?

I could probably make it on Friday in Greenbelt, but more FReepers probably could show on Saturday. And I'm not sure that this group is worth FReeping both Friday and Saturday, but I'm open to your thoughts, 'Pod and others.

Anyone know of any active 4WD, SUV, or Hummer clubs in the area? We might try to get reinforcements from them.
