Why did they go in with such fire power? Surely they knew it was safe...they could just walk in, if they wanted to. BS!

I see Jessica being "led" into a trap. But in the end she sets the record straight that she didn't care if "they came in wearing skirts" and "there was no way they could have known whether or not" the enemy was there. And she constantly said "they are my heroes."

Question: Why didn't the Pentagon correct the erroneous Washington Post story?
Answer: Because there isnt enough time in the day to keep the press corrected.
Stupid comment: The Pentagon wanted to get this good news (the rescue) out quickly.
The facts: PA policy is to get every bit of news out quickly
especially the bad news.

Diane...ABC news. They've even edited Jessica's words...listen to some of her sentences cut off.

Her line about the military spinning the rape made me throw my remote at my TV.
To: Half Vast Conspiracy
She is such a child.
Bragg didn't bite on Diane's crap either. She tried to say that maybe the military wanted the rape info out there so it would look like she "really" needed rescue. Bragg said, "If that was the case why wouldn't they have leaked it in the beginning and milked it for all it was worth."

It would seem to Diane Sawyer that the only acceptable actions our troops could have taken to rescue Jessica would have been to strip to their underwear and walk into the hospital unarmed in broad daylight with their hands up.
This is just another ratings grab from a career media slut.

The whole thing has been spun by all sorts since day one. Spun to death.

I see Jessica preventing Diane from spinning it very much. She held her on. And her family still supports the war.

I see Jessica preventing Diane from spinning it very much. She held her on. And her family still supports the war. That is what I saw. I thought Jessica did a good job keeping sawyer from getting away with to much spin.

I am in agreement. She held her own, and she came off as a very sincere, honest young lady. She could have painted herself in the golden light of flattery, but chose instead to be truthful and honest.
"I'm not a hero. Just a survivor."
Here's hoping her recovery continues and that she is able to walk down that aisle next June.
To: Terry Mross
"And her family still supports the war. "You could see that Diane found that incomprehensible.
On another topic, is Jessica's speech typical of that area of West Virginia? It struck us as unusual, but we don't know accents from that region.
To watch her on TV, it brings home to me just how young she is. She's had to do a lot of growing up very quickly.

I didn't watch but glad to know she didn't allow the liberal spin to go nuts.......
