This NWS office just upped their forecast; interesting to see if they verify, already some debate on weather boards.
If they're correct these are basically similar to the Isabel winds over MD that had hundreds of thousands without power for a week or more...there really wasn't much in the way of actual hurricane force winds over MD/VA from Isabel.
Should be much windier than the similar windstorm the day of the ferry accident/ALCS Game 6.
Of course, there will be similar winds in the entire Northeast.
Saw some neat pics of the Lake Erie blowout; the whole lake basically gets blown from West to East, huge mudflats in the western part of the lake, flooding in Buffalo.

Numerous reports of trees/wires down steadily coming across the scanner here in Central PA all day . . . Power flicked out about half-dozen times . . . now report of a "partial building collapse" in downtown Carlisle . . . assume wind related . . .

Saw some neat pics of the Lake Erie blowout; not a whole bunch of fun here right now, or all day. Wind gusts up to 60 mph. White out snow conditions in the south towns. No snow accumulation here on Grand Island.
