I predict that one of two things will happen next
1. The mainstream media will bury this story -- most people will never hear of it.
2. If #1 fails and too many people know that something happened (though many could not say exactly what happened), the media will go on to the next step: The media will all of the sudden say that the Republicans stole an important document "having to do with national security" and planned to exploit it for political advantage. The "honest" Democrats will of course be "outraged" and say that this is the "worst scandal since Watergate." The nature of the leaked document will never be revealed -- the media will only say vaguely that it had something to do with "national security." The spin machine and the compliant media will say that this is proof that Republicans cannot be trusted with matters of national security. I can smell this 1,000 miles away -- what should be exposed as a Democrat scandal will instead be spun as being the fault of those scheming Republicans. I predict that in two weeks the media will go on the offensive with their spin doctors.

The dems have already tried to say the memo was stolen. Hannity says the memo was neither stolen nor found in the trash, and says he looks forward to testifying under oath as to how he obtained it.
It will be hard to ignore tha memo forever, since the committee is tied up in knots about it.
