How Are The Mighty Fallen (Bryant Gumbel)
Sci-Fi Channel ^
Posted on 11/18/2003 5:00:41 AM PST by steve-b
Join host Bryant Gumbel as SCI FI exposes one of the most notorious UFO incidents of the 20th century, a series of events that occurred near a U.S. military base in Rendlesham Forest, England, in 1980. Now that the British government has admitted it classified documents to cover up the incident, witnesses (both civilians and former military personnel) have come forward to provide new evidence for SCI FI's investigation. Premieres Friday, December 12, at 9/8C
On December 9, 1965, an object landed near Kecksburg, Pa. It was observed as a fireball in the sky across several U.S. states and Canada. At the scene, officials told residents a meteor crashed. The next day, the U.S. government declared nothing fell. What really happened? What is the truth? Join host Bryant Gumbel as we examine new scientific analyses and premiere over eight minutes of new footage added to this special report! Airs Friday, November 21, at 9PM ET/PT
TOPICS: Culture/Society; Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: bryant; gumbel; schlock; scifi; ufo
I can already picture the "What the hell am I doing here?" face.

Hey, they guy always tended to believe the fiction of the Democrats, so I guess he believes this science fiction UFO stuff also.

Mr. Peel and I spend a bit of time on the Sci-Fi channel (StarGate-SG1 in particular), but since I saw the ads for this, I figured NOTHING could induce me to watch Bryant Gumbel, no matter the topic.

Maybe Gumbel should bat his eyes at Les Moonves....

Gumbel's ratings have lately been just below those of the test pattern on channel 35.

Actually its Bryant Scumball.
I wonder if his mama ever got her new set of teeth and whether his ex-wife is off of food stamps.

Hey.
These clowns may be legends in their own minds, incompetent, but creative.
I'm curious how he will blame Bush about anything in a program about UFOs in England...

"Geraldo is an air-head; Gumbel is nasty." Yes, Bryant is a very mean, unhappy person. Oddly enough, his brother GREG is easy-going, affable, and does excellent work for SeeBS Sports. I have a tough time imagining family reunions with that pair. My guess - they don't have too many of them.

You can catch the reruns on SCIFI at 8:00 am Saturdays.I know, but due to rights issues only a few episodes can be shown. Also, Rhino is only selling a few episodes on DVD and tape, again because of copyright problems. Since I didn't discover the show until the Sci-Fi era there are dozens of episodes I'll probably never get to see.

Bryant Gumbel was never mighty.
To: jalisco555
You're right. I taped all of the Saturday morning shows and have them on VHS now. They just play the same few over and over now.
One that they never show and I wish they would is "Santa Claus vs The Martians." They showed that just before Christmas about 10 or 12 years ago and it was hilarious.

Gosh, Bryant Gumball has been gone so long from his Today show stint, that his replacement Matt Lauer has already lost all of his hair.
To: jalisco555
Can you elaborate a bit?
Gumbel would not have been my choice but he's done a tolerable job so far.
The witnesses on air in full light are quite convincing to me.

Can you elaborate a bit? I wasn't actually commenting on the Gumbel piece. Skooz and I were having a side conversation about Mystery Science Theater 3000 which we later took to Freepmail since it was off-topic. Sorry for the confusion
