The Bush-Winsor relationship goes way back.

Does anyone here have that picture of the Clintons and Chelsea, whose black pant legs were dragging the pavement, when they made an afternoon courtesy call on the Queen?

In the picture, Queen Elizabeth was standing apart from them, carrying her purse and frowning. During the 8 years of Clinton, she did NOT extend to HIM a STATE INVITATION. And she wept w/us September 11, 2001.

She did not even invite them for lunch, and W gets the full State Visit. That must really be frosting Hillary's very core.

Some honest Brits - like foodie Nigella Lawson - admit that they are a rude nation. I once had my ratty fur-collared coat stomped on by an animal-loving British theatregoer.

By the way, I was in London when Bush spoke about Blair's constituents. He called them "Geordies" NOT "Georgies." That's a complete fabrication.

As an aside, there was a story in the newspapers about the Royal Family's dislike of clinking ice cubes. So they imported a machine that makes silent, round-shaped ice. And when they get home from work at night, they touch the back of the television to see if it is warm - then they know the servants are goofing off again.

this is an example of how the rich keep the working class in their place. people like Woz and Jobs are not part of the great success stories of england because they are not allowed to play in the sandbox. the former head of compusa was a high school grad with almost no college, that does not happen in engalnd and this story is proof that they don't want the working man to be anything other than working. do not riase above your station. forget that President Bush graduated from Harvard, they just hate the fact he talks like the men in the oil field.

"It's the kind of slightly sentimental, folksy-ish, hokey-type quality. That kind of folksy style that he uses, that goes down badly with north-eastern US intellectuals, goes down even worse over here."

The Queen et el learned how to speak "Folksy-ish BUBBA-trash talk" all right and "Bubbaville is just up the road north from GW's ranch.

The visit to Buckingham Palace marked a return to familiar territory for Clinton. He was at the palace in November 1995 and also met the queen in 1994 during D-day anniversary commemorations aboard the royal yacht Britannia.

Clinton talks "Bubba-Style" with
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II

Others wondered if Mr Clinton's speech would need to be translated. And commentators talked about how poorly Mr Clinton's Arkansas informality plays among Europeans.

So that is the best Bush dart from down under.
I guess this Aussi reporter is looking for more dirt.

G'day!

Agreed. It is their caste system. Bush challenges the rules so he must be denegrated and ridiculed.
