Hello, my FRiends!
I'm writing from an internet cafe in an undisclosed location, and have an urgent prayer request. A very nice couple I met on a shuttle bus have a daughter in Michigan near Detroit (they're in FL now) who is undergong treatment for uterine sarcoma. It is nasty. I had a small percentage risk of having it prior to my hysterectomy in March, but thankfully didn't have it.
She does. She has had the surgery, but it spread to her lymph nodes. She is young, with two children, 5 and 11. She will be undergoing chemo - five days a week for six weeks (or is it 6 months? I don't recall). She desperately needs our prayers, and I offered to start this thread for her. Her parents are fully in agreement.
Her name is Joan Kelly. Please lift her up in prayer for healing and recovery, for her family and especially her children to feel God's peace, and for the Father to guide her caregivers' and physicians' hands.
I also ask that you ping your ping lists - I'm on a coin-operated computer, and can't stay on too long.
I exchanged email addresses with her parents, and they promised to keep me up to date.
Thank you, and God bless you.

How sad--will definitely keep her in my prayers.
A cousin of my husband's was diagnosed with breast cancer in April and had to undergo a mastectomy and chemo. She is 33 with a husband and 2 year old daughter. Her prognosis is good and she is in great spirits. I believe her family and friends' prayers have sustained her.
Here's hoping Joan has the same result. Bless you for starting this thread.

Thanks so much.
I've gotta go now, before they repossess my keyboard. Thank you for keeping this going in my absence, and God bless you. When I see her parents, I'll tell them what you all are doing for their daughter.

Father of us all,
Bless Joan Kelly, and heal that cancerous condition! Enter now into those reproductive organs and heal those tissues! Heal them at a cellular level! Heal them at the molecular level! Heal them at the atomic level! Heal the original cause and core behind her disease! Heal her body, mind, emotions, and spirit! Father, heal her of any and all fear!
Father, overshadow her doctors, nurses and health professionals. Grant them insight into how best to treat Joan Kelly's condition. Let any and all medications, surgeries, or other treatments be given only by your guidance and let them be 100% effective!
Father, surround her and her family and all her loved ones with a swaddling garment of your love and our prayers. Grant our petition for a miracle of healing, according to thy perfect Will. We are grateful that you do hear us. Let this which we call forth for Joan Kelly also be granted for any and all who are in a similar situation.
amen

Holy FAther,
I lift up Joan to You Lord. I lift up her children as well.
Please Lord fill this family with Your Holy Spirit Lord. Make You comforting and healing presence felt Father. Please grant faith, peace and joy to this family....especially the children. I ask for wisdom for the doctors. I ask for You to protect the children mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Please use this experience to bring Glory to Your Holy Name....please produce healing Lord. If physical healing is not your will for Joan, please give her and her family a saving faith....that Your Promise is not for earth, but for heaven....please help them accept this.
In Jesus name I pray.
Amen.
