November 19, 2003 -- DAN Aykroyd is no fan of the bureaucratic bungling and cut-rate care of socialized medicine. "One place you don't want to get sick is Quebec," the Canadian actor advised us after a screening of Denys Arcand's "The Barbarian Invasions." "It's all socialized. Believe me, you don't want to go to a hospital there.

One thing I like to point out to all the socialized medicine dupes is this simple fact: whenever someone wants the BEST medical care for any number of ailments and chronic conditions, they do NOT go to Britain or Canada or any other nation with socialized medicine.
They come to the United States of America.

One thing I like to point out to all the socialized medicine dupes is this simple fact: whenever someone wants the BEST medical care for any number of ailments and chronic conditions, they do NOT go to Britain or Canada or any other nation with socialized medicine.That's right. All they got going for them is cheap drugs, and that's probably a good thing for people who have to stick it out until they can be seen by a specialist.
