This is a buncha bull-twaddle. The Mirror is just an anti-Bush tabloid. This is as real as Elvis's alien love-child.

There are British and American service men (and women) who are laying there life on the line fighting global terrorism and they are worried about some plants?
Someone needs to get a grip.

About the only time you will see the
Mirror sympathetic to the Queen, is when it can use her to bash someone it hates even more. In this case, Pres. Bush.
It is the most left-wing of all the British tabloids.

"Palace staff said they had never seen the Queen so angry as when she saw how her perfectly-mantained lawns had been churned up after being turned into helipads with three giant H landing markings for the Bush visit." LOL. Queen mum got her panties in a bunch.

Which commies are trying to stir up the British people?

The mass of gadgetry meant the Royals couldn't get a decent TV picture during the visit Pity, my 168 channels of DirecTV viewing was crystal clear.

The Mirror must be a foundation of British liberalism. The Royals knew fully what would be entailed with a state visit from the POTUS. Both inside and outside the palace.
I heard a guest on FNC talking about what it's like to have the President visit some place. Anywhere the President goes is prepared well in advance. If Secret Service or the electrical intallers don't like a wall, guess what? They remove that wall! The place is changed immensely and often needs major repair or restoration after the visit. This isn't unusual at all.
Perhaps the Queen is really furious with her insurance carrier for not covering the repair costs.

The Mirror is usually in the forefront of tabloid royal-bashing. They couldn't give a toss about the Queen. They are a pro-Labor Party, pro-socialist paper. These are all crocodile tears.
It's simply an opportunity of convenience to trash Bush.

Am I the only one who finds it highly amusing that we get constantly lectured on how we should be more "progressive" by the Mirror, the Guardian, etc...all from a country that still has an f'n Royal Family?

The Palace's head gardener, Mark Lane, was reported to be in tears when he saw the scale of the damage. Apparently, the palace is full of queens.

Perhaps its all BS. Marine One doesn't screw up/chew up the White House lawn.
Lefties, embarrassed that their anti-war demo was a bust, have to find something else to whine about (even if that means making it up.)

Time to turn Lizzie in to an unemployed dowager on the dole.
I'm becoming less and less sympathetic to the Germans in Buckingham Palace. England was better off with their froggie kings.

What a load of fertilizer. The Queen calling her insurer? LOL!
INSURER: Royal Insurers. Please hold.
QUEEN: Hello! Hello!?
INSURER: May we help you? just a moment, I'm transferring you to our office in Spain.
QUEEN: The American came out of the sky with helicopters and damaged my shrubs!
INSURER: He demanded a shrubbery? Is that what you said?
QUEEN: I'm the queen! What is this an inquisition!?
INSURER: No ma'am. You didn't expect a Spanish Inquisition did you?
QUEEN: They also trampled my gardens! They walked over my plants.
INSURER: You are covered for that but only if they were walking "funny". Funny walking is covered!
QUEEN: They scared my birds!
INSURER: Birds? Were they African or a European birds?
QUEEN: African or European? I don't know you tit!
INSURER: Any birds injured?
QUEEN: One was. yes! One was but it was only a flesh wound!
INSURER: Please hold for that department........
