A Bad Day at DU (Rolling on the Floor Laughing at the Poor DU'ers...) (OK'd by Jim)
DUH ^

Posted on 11/27/2003 8:31:43 PM PST by Skwidd

Boy, Thanksgiving sure was a bad day at DU.

A thread about Bush's visit to Iraq

Another thread about Bush's visit to Iraq

A thread about Toby Keith's Halftime Show

Just for reference, so we know what kind of people we're dealing with, a poll conducted on DU

Another DU poll

I'm not sure if linking to DU threads is frowned upon or not, but these threads are too good to not share with my fellow Freepers. Comedy gold!

She may, in fact, have a heart and care for our troops. We can hope.

What may be happening is; that those in the know have decided that nothing is to be gained by attacking George Bush, but much could come by 'propping' oneself up- stars and stripes being the popular gift wrap of the day.

Happy Holidays, for instance. Surprise! Lizzard on the table.

I read as much as I could stand. Wish I could learn to laugh at the them, but I cannot. I get just plain angry!

I'm with you. What an appalling lack of class! These people are one sick bunch. Hatred, arrogance and envy seep from their posts like puss from an old boil.

From Paul Johnson's Modern Times - 'The Devils':

"The attempt by Western intellectuals to defend Stalinism involved them in a process of self-corruption which transferred to them, and so to their countries, which their writings helped to shape, some of the moral decay inherent in totalitarianism itself, especially in denial of individual responsibility for good or ill. Lionel Trilling (himself a Leftist - noum) shrewdly observed of the Stalinists of the West that they repudiated politics, or at least the politics of 'vigilance and effort':"

In an imposed monolithic government they saw the promise of rest from the particular acts of will which are needed to meet the many, often clashing requirements of democratic society... they cherished the idea of revolution as the final, all-embracing act of will which would forever end the exertions of our individual wills.

"For America, the development was particularly serious because the Stalinists then formed the salient part of the new radical movement; and as Trilling also noted:"

In any view of the American cultural situation, the importance of the radical movement of the Thirties cannot be overestimated. It may be said to have created the American intellectual class as we now know it in its great size and influence. It fixed the character of this class as being, through all mutations of opinion, predominately of the Left.

"This was the class which shaped the thinking of the liberal-Democratic political establishment, which was to hold power in the most powerful nation on Earth until virtually the end of the 1970s."

Breathtaking, isn't it?

"Watch out for the democrats that support the troops and the war, they're the ones you have to worry about in the next election."

Yeah, I got their message crystal clear. Only a fool would fall for the Hildabeast photo op, or ever feel safe with the Democraps at the helm. I'll never forget how they tried to trash the military vote in 2000. Have you?

It is amazing to compare and contrast the postings on DU with those on FR... not for political content, that's a given, but rather for clarity of thought, coherency, LOGIC, and even sanity.

The level of intellectual discourse that occurs on FreeRepublic is miles above the childish ranting one observes on Democratic Underground.

I see denial, sloganeering, and me-tooism running rampant. Insults and slurs on the integrity and honesty of the opposition run rampant without any basis in the facts.

One of the others things I noticed is that most of the posts on DU are very short... or just an opportunity to post an animated GIF.

It's like looking into hell, watching these people writhe and twist like snakes. I can only do it for a short time, because it starts to sap my own energy level.

Ordinarily I wouldn't do this, but I think the word you're looking for is "pus". : )

Oh - and I agree!

Obviously the du-mies have no clue who the nazi's were. They were leftist socialists and regressives. Just like the modern democrat party.

Make sure to block all cookies from "that" site. We don't want them to up their traffic stats. Also it is good to block any other "nasties" they may use, like email captures.

I glanced quickly at what those jokers were saying a few hours ago, and boy were they angry. One idiot wrote that CNN (of all networks) has been kissing GWB's posterior all day with it's non-stop coverage and pro-Bush bias. ...lol.

I did my own comparison between FOX and CNN earlier in the day, and the latter had only about 5 minutes of the trip's coverage in one hour. FOX, otoh, was on it for the whole hour.

Re: Leesa's DU Comment: "I wish the traitor Bush was hogtied and wisked away to a trial for war crimes followed by a trial for treason followed by the ultimate sentance for treason and crimes against humanity, but it wasn't one of the choices."

Gad! Wonder if the Secret Service ever looks in on these nitwits? If not, they should.

I don't believe for ONE SECOND that Hillary cares for our troops. If that were true then why would she:

- Allow the military budget to be cut to far that some inlisted personel were on welfare and using food stamps?!

- Use the Marines in the White House as servers at parties?!

These two things alone demonstrate that she has an inherent disrespect and I dare say hatred for the military and our troops.

'F' HER!!!
