BOSTON (AP) — Conservative blacks are objecting to recent comparisons between efforts for homosexual "marriage" and civil rights movements, arguing that sexual orientation is a choice.
Links between the two struggles have been made since Massachusetts' highest court ruled last week that the state constitution guarantees homosexual couples the right to "marry." The court cited landmark laws that lifted bans on interracial marriage.

Emory College professor David Garrow said the legal histories of the two movements have abundant parallels, including the arguments that marriage between the races and unions of the same sex are unnatural and against God's law.
*** Marriage between the races is bad, esp. if the spouse is from Pluto or something. Seriously, the law against interracial marriage was stupid, a throwback to slavery days. They didn't have it in my mother's country for some reason. My mother was really shocked when she learned that she couldn't marry my father in certain parts of the States, but this was in sixties right before they overturned that law. God wants holy matrimony between man and woman, no matter what the color, united in Christ.
I know many mixed race married people who object to this, including my mom a devout Catholic.

"The whole thing bespeaks of something much deeper and more insidious than we just want to get married," he said. "They want to change the entire social order." I often wondered why the African American community allowed those with a vile sex fetish to ride on their coat tales like that. If I were Black, I'd have been appauled!
It's nice to read they're defending their honor like this. The homosexuals are trying to say being back is the same as being a twisted pervert.

Gee, all these self-interest groups are getting annoyed at all these self-interest groups. If they just would decide to call themselves Americans and throw away their hyphens, we could all sit down and enjoy this great land. I get such a kick out of these people who define themselves as something other than Americans and wonder why other pests do the same. Wouldn't it be nice if we just stopped counting?

I've been amazed for years at how the Dems manage to hold those two groups together in the same party. When it comes to traditionalism in sexual morality, there is a very strong force in the black community.
The surprise is not that it is now coming apart at the seams (blacks being forced to endorse perversion by the Democrats) but that it held together at all!
