Arab News Editor-in-Chief Khaled al-Maeena is a cheerleader for the royal family. That he would approve this article in Arab News would indicate it had the blessing of that part of the Saudi heirarchy which is decidedly Wahhabist. This would seem to indicate that there is a real battle for power going on in Riyadh. One thing is for sure, this article is making the rounds of Washington right now, and this insulting article will not be taken lightly there.
