I've been pondering that. I bet it's a desperate grab for something to avoid the wrong appearance.

You've no doubt heard the Irish use of "me myself"; it's a rough translation of the Gaelic emphatic personal pronoun, "mi-fhein" (the name of the Irish organization Sinn Fein means "We Ourselves").

My guess is Hillary launched into the sentence, realized ending it with "me" would sound bad, and reached for a way around. Sufficient exposure to the Irishism (she grew up in Chicago, no?) might lead one to reach for "myself" in desperate moment...

Ya know, what really strikes me about these photos is the stark contrast between them. In the photos with W, everyone interacting with him is smiling. In the photos with Hillary, about the only one interacting with her who are smiling is . . . HER!!!

I kept seeing that too. That's why I composed the montage.

There were one or two photos that didn't fit the format, but which would fit along with other pictures I've seen over the past few years: Hillary getting out of a car (or whatever) with a really wide-open-mouthed happy "it's SO GOOD to SEE YOU again" sort of smile, although at the person she's greeting you get a sense it's more for the cameraman -- and in every case that person is not smiling at all.

I think you're closer than you know. Just before he left the Clintons, he became a Roman Catholic (I think he was a non-observant Jew before).
