Volume IV of the Dragon's Fury Series tops Powells.com Adobe Reader best seller list
Powell's ^ | December 2, 2003 | Jeff Head

Volume IV of Freeper Jeff Head's Dragon's Fury Series, The Long March, which is a techno-thriller series about how current geo-political conditions lead to World War III, after debuting for three weeks as Powell's number two featured Adobe eBook, has now topped Powell's Adobe eBook best seller list.

Youi can see the list at the following link:

VOLUME IV OF DRAGON'S FURY TOPS POWELL'S ADOBE EBOOK BESTSELLER LIST

Now, in reality, eBooks are a very, very small part of the market and selling 30-40 of them in a couple of weeks time will get you atop almost any eBook bestseller list. But it is a growing market, and it does impact sales in other areas, particularly printed formats.

The Adobe eBook and printed versions of Volume IV of the series should be available on Amazon in the next week or so.

The printed version of Volume IV is already available on Barnes & Noble online and on BooksaMillion online.

Jeff, this is terrific! NUMBER ONE! BTW, how many Powells physical outlet stores are there? You should be able to leverage this online success into shelf placement I think. And from there, to the B&N stores.... And from there....

They have seven outlets in Oregon. I have already contacted them about exactly what you propose.

We shall see.

Jeff,

Incredibly coincidentally, an old high school acquaintance of mine, with whom I had lost contact a few years after I was married (well over twenty years ago), found me through an internet search last month. And the reason he decided to try to look me up after all this time was that he saw my name as editor of your 'Dragon's Fury: Breath of Fire, Volume I' back in September or October on Amazon.com, and was extremely curious to know if the editor and I were one and the same. Is it a small world, or what? :)

Congratulations on this latest (well-deserved) good fortune at Powell's.

Looking forward to wrapping things up in this final volume – and knowing full well that liberty and justice, and an abiding faith in Him, will prevail. There is no other way.

As always, immensely proud to be taking part in this worthy venture.

Thank you. I'm glad folks are enjoying Volume IV in the Adobe eBook format and hope it translates into an equally high enjoyment for the printed books.

Thanks, I hope folks enjoy Volume IV...and am glad for the indicaton that the eBook readers are.

I hope the whole series, including the yet to be written Volume V (though I did start yesterday) will have a legacy of an enjoyable, exciting and compelling literary work.

Thanks Joanie...that is an incredible story about your friend from High School. How did he come across the series I wonder? it would be interesting to hear.

I believe the final volume of the series will live up to expectations and wrap up the story in a good way...though, understandably, things would never be the same after such a conflagration.

Hopefully, in this particular case, (and as the author it is mine I suppose to determine) the lessons learned will not so easily or quickly be forgotten and in the end, the world will be an improved and better place despite the hardship and travail.

As always, Joanie, the pleasure and the appreciation are all mine. You, Chris, Corrie and the others have been the best of friends to work with and learn from.
