God is always present. He speaks to all people. Those who blind and deafen themselves to Him, through denial, hatred, the lust for earthly glory, or anything else, refuse to hear Him and to follow Him.

So it is with those who commit evil acts--murder, torture, slavery, terrorism, cruelty, for example--and especially those who commit such acts in His name, not only the ultimate blasphemy but also the ultimate denial.
