>> This "Communfornian" sees things clearly. We've been snookered. The bill to give driver's licenses to illegals will simply be reintroduced later, and they will try to sneak it past us. Arnold will sign it, saying, "Oh, now it has security measures, so it's okay <<

Not quite. Arnold will simply wait a couple of months until he can get blanket amnesty for all the illegal criminals in Kalifornistan (fulfilling his campaign promise to "normalize" every criminal), and THEN give all those new "citizens" some nice taxpayer funded driver's licenses.

Give him time, right now he's busy paroling murderers.

.. always ready to trash Schwarzenegger..

You seem to have a bone to pick with me, for some reason.

You seem to think there is only one view that can and should be expressed about the Gub, the issues facing this state and if folks don't agree with you and that view totally, they are nothing more than ingrates or disruptors or TomBots.

This is politics. You don't like it, then go join a cheerleading forum or such. You seem to have lost touch with what the Founding Fathers understood all to well. It's still a FRee country.

btw , Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful).

Yes it is politics.  And guess what bud, I have an opinion and can express it just as easily and skillfully as you can.  Whoops, forgot about that didn't you.  Nope you're not the only person who has first ammendment rights.  Who'd a thunk it?

I would encourage you to go after Schwarzenegger whenever he does something wrong.  I'm just tired of the endless posts of leftist ideology on this forum that slam him for doing what has been a pretty good job so far.  How could you post that A.P. tripe and not post a "barf alert" or anything?  I doubt that I am going to approve of everything Schwarzenegger does as time goes buy.  You and I will be on the same side part of the time.  What would be refreshing would be to see you as willing to join me in appreciating what he's doing when it's good, as I am willing to join you when what he is doing is bad.

You mentioned the TomBot issue.  You know, good old Tom is showing up on every radio station in the state expounding on his plan.  Please, if you have any inside with the guy, would you please pass him a note explaining that he lost.  He can run again in a couple of years.  Until then I wish he'd have the class to allow Schwarzenegger to at least attempt to advance his own agenda before taking him to task.  Arnold has been in office for eighteen days and Tom is already on the circuit explaining that he has a plan and the Schwarzenegger team is ignoring him.

The Democrats face off against Schwarzenegger.  The TomBots face off against him.  Say, do you folks want a leader in this state or do you want to help the Democrats trash Schwarzenegger so he can't get anything done?  Yeah, I'm a little touchy about this issue.  We've got a guy in there who's done more positive in seventeen days than the last guy did in five years.  Pardon me for wanting him to seem like he has backing so he can get more done.

If you guys keep carping, the public will get the idea that he's severely flawed and there goes his momentum.  Then nothing will get done.

Norm, it's not you that I've got it out for.  It's the endless negativism that can and will sap our chance to get anything done if people don't knock it off.

Bullpucky. Good ideas stand on their own. They don't need to be propped up with hype and hoopla. Also, then quit acting like I and Tom are the enemy.

Also, you think I relish posting some of the crap that is written these days? Believe me, I am not trying to stir up antipathy against Arnold, I wish him well as goes he, goes the state.. for now, at least. Remember, this is a discussion forum. There is a lot of stuff that isn't being critiqued by anyone if it isn't posted.

I , unfortunately, don't buy his bond plan 100% when it comes to incurring future debts until other avenues for saving and cutting spending have been exhausted.

I don't take these "attacks" or skirmishes personally, but I will not have others impugn me either and make me out to be something other that what I am, a longtime CA resident, taxpayer and home and property owner as I suspect you are as well.

Tom is his own man, if you have gripes with him, let him know. I don't have contact with him in any fashion, but I am sure he or someone on his staff will be more than happy to consider your plea for silence on his part and that he acquiesce to more debt for future generations to payoff. (He is irrelevant tho, yaknow , so why waste your time?) ;-)

Thanks for the give and take Norm. I do not think Tom is irrelevent though. I know he means well in his self imposed watch-dog role, but I see him as instilling seeds of doubt with each new interview. The dems go at Arnold full tilt because they don't want to see their socialist paradise dismanteled. Then Tom comes at him from the other end of the spectrum.

Tom was on KFI this morning, blasting his perspective all over southern California.

I wonder how Tom would have liked it if Schwarzenegger had started day one carping about his leadership in major media outlets if he had won the election.

I know it sounds funny but I equate Tom to another Tom who wasn't real popular in his day either. Thomas Jefferson.

Prolific writer, solid debater, an ideas man, etc.

I know that will make some folks scratch their heads , but.. if we all had the same view of things , we wouldn't be in this mess now, would we?

The demRats in due time will be held accountable by the people when the people demand their removal. Tom will be judged no less harshly, regardless of the district mapping that has been done under the guise of "fair and impartial" district lines, Ha!

While the Gub has pulled the plug on the supersized DMV fees and, for now, the illegals licenses, he is still waltzing in a minefield as he holds out hope to illegals of a new attempt to license illegals next year.

PS - I didn't plant the mines (spending levels mandated thru abuse of initiatives and referendums by special interests) nor did you. But, we can't afford to sit tight-lipped either as our future generations will have to traipse thru those same fields all too soon.

The prominence of socialism in our everyday lives is of such a scale now, that hard choices about policies and severe cuts will need to be made and let those who whine that gov't owes us this and that whine all they want. There is no other way, imo.

One comment I would like to add is how important is what Tom says on the radio or what you and I post anyway.? Are we all that important in what and how we say what we say? Have you somehow taken some liberties and vested more power & importance in our words then is really due them? Most folks don't talk and express things the way you or I do. Just a thought.

You really have to feel for the 'hell or high water' folks who didn't get their wish of Bustamonte over Arnold. They must be hating the new governor's conservative accomplishments.
