For the 37th Assembly District (much of Ventura County, and maybe a little bit of LA county):
Herzog, Paul DEM AD-37 Pending 11/5/03 $990.00
Prince, Adrienne M. GRN AD-37 Pending 11/5/03 $528.00 114 80
Gorell, Jeff REP AD-37 Qualified 11/5/03 12/4/03 $990.00 40
McClendon, Eric REP AD-37 Pending 11/5/03 $953.04 56 40
Robinson, Mike REP AD-37 Pending 11/5/03 $627.66 549 40
Strickland, Audra REP AD-37 Pending 11/5/03 $793.32 298 40
An LA Times article noted that there were no Democrats running. Maybe Herzog didn't qualify? So, whoever wins the GOP nomination will very likely win the seat vacated by the term-limited Assemblyman Tony Strickland.
Anyway, there are two conservatives running: Mike Robinson and Audra Strickland (no website?). The article said has the potential to split the conservative vote and hand the nomination to the moderate Republican, Jeff Gorell. McClendon has no chance.
This district overlaps State Senator Tom McClintock's district, so I hope we can keep it conservative.

Yeah, the latest status (you can click the link at the top) shows Herzog as
inactive So it'll be a Republican (or, heaven forbid, a greenie, though highly unlikely). Let's get the right Republican in there!

The 15th Congressional district has a great write-in candidate named Peter Soule.

Oh, NOW you tell me ;-)
Republican Central Committee Recommendations
My district is 2
Know Donna Courtright so no prob there. Same with Jack Davis
I do know the Rowens well. Dennis is, uh, something else. Theri's OK, although a bit young and provocative. Ed should do the best of the three.

Are you in 15?

I am soooo unhappy. IN SD-07, there is no opposition running in the primary against Tom Torlakson (D). I guess we're going to be stuck with him again. This guy hasn't met a tax, fee, or gun control he didn't like. Want a higher gas tax? He's your guy - he proposed a .10/gallon hike, and had legislative counsel rule that it is a fee, not a tax, so it can be passed with just a majority vote. He also is pushing the measure to increase tolls on Bay Area bridges. He thinks it would be a great idea for local jurisdictions to be able to levy income taxes. And the Republicans couldn't muster a candidate to run against him.
