Mr Jackson, good luck making the Hobbit. Can't wait to see it. Can you do us a favor? Whatever drug/beer/yoga regime you were on while filming TTT, please stop for this film! Your "creative" impulses and script writing sucked. Fellowship ruled! :>

I'd be more impressed when he films the Silmarillion.

I for one am looking forward to a film version of The Hobbit that does the book justice. I agree that TTT was a load of pig crap (they should have stuck to what happened in the book instead of throwing in a bunch of stuff that didn't happen), but the Extended Edition makes it a much better film. Overall I found both movies quite enjoyable.
If Jackson can do for The Hobbit what he did for LOTR, then kudos to him.

My vote for Turin. Not sure about Feanor or his sons though.

Woo-hoo!
YES !
Bilbo-Bump! ;-)
BTW, I agree that the "Extended Version " of TTT helped, but did NOTmake that story RIGHT.
The whole Helm's Deep and the "dead" Aragorn just made me mad.
Dunno if they COULD do Silmarilion.... it was a "work in progress" when Tolkien died, not REALLY a complete story!

( STILL mad that there was no Tom Bombadil! )

BUMP for a cool Wellingtonian.

If he is going to film The Hobbit, then the whole Hobbiton set will have to be remade. I also wouldn't mind if he filmed 'Scouring of the Shire' as a standalone movie.
I don't mind Arwen being in it, she would be at Rivendel at the time so a cameo is not a bad idea but they will need a different actor to play a younger Bilbo. Bilbo won't look quite the same in The Hobbit as he does in FotR when he finds the ring, but I can live with that.

Just make sure they don't have Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn). He is a supporter of ANSWER and an enemy of America. A recent entry to PABAAH (Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti-American Hollywood.
