THIS IS NOTHING! It is "voluntary"! This is nothing but deception from the President who WANTS slave labor in America and our jobs going overseas so that FAT-CAT businesses get even more profits. This President loves business giants so much that he is killing the average American to help them. Say "HASTA LAVISTA" to the America you knew! It's dying fast.

Like the one-off Walmart raid, this is a false bone thrown to whatever remains of his base, and is a distraction from next year's amnesty

Its is COMPLETLY Voluntary act. Employers are under zero obligation to participate.
S. 1685, the Basic Pilot Extension Act of 2003, was signed by President Bush on December 3, 2003.
It will extend for five years the workplace employment eligibility authorization pilot programs created in 1996. It will also expand the pilot programs from the original five states to all 50 states. Thus, all employers in the United States will have the option of participating, although the program would remain voluntary.

Keep in mind that Illegals contribute collectively large dollars to the Social Security System. That money will never be claimed. Manatory employer regulations exist on the I-9 we have to fill out, but I-9 is sugar coated - all IDs and work permits have to do is "appear" to look like and correspond to the holder. I've been told by INS that I am not an "Agent" therefore not trained to spot fraudulent cards. I'd applaud any verification means Homeland Security would provide for employers. Make my job easier.
