It's The Condescension, Stupid. Why Gore Endorsed Dean.
Vanity ^ | 10 Dec 03 | .cnI redruM

Posted on 12/10/2003 8:53:29 AM PST by .cnI redruM

I never used to understand why liberals condescended to the rest of us and 'looked out for the little guy' in such an overtly insulting manner. Perhaps I was too busy rummaging my coffee table for heavy, blunt objects to chuck at the pixilated, smirking visage of Bill Clinton. As he denounced everything I believed in as a human being and accused me of being a backward troglodyte.

As I watched the highlight film of an over-satisfied and insufferable smug Al Gore endorsing an even more nauseating Howard Brush Dean III, something clicked. I remembered the rich, spoiled brats I used to fantasize about clobbering, during High School. These hateful, backstabbing, socialites later morphed into Howard Dean unless they were dosed with curative reality, early in their adult live. These guys insulted us because they enjoyed it. Smugness and brazen condescension are sources of joy to high-binding, overblown liberals.

Many of Harold Mean's campaign pitches are delivered amongst screaming mobs of facial-pierced, transgender, GnerationDean!! sycophants. They almost seemed aimed at making Harold Mean feel positive, rather than convince new people to vote for him. He draws power from the victims he almost inadvertently insults. It's like they are plugged into a matrix that powers Dean's continued self-obsessed joy ride to power and influence.

There was an almost Marquis De Sad quality to the resonant condescension waves, emitted by that Axis of Arrogance, consisting of Al Gore and Harold Mean. They believed they were a higher form of life, put on Earth to educate us rural and suburban pseudo-sapiens. They got off on believing that delusional fantasy. The audience in their thrall provided them with a love toy that worked better than the reflecting pool did for Narcissus.

Tapping a rhetorical kidney on the heads of working-class, conservative white Southerners relieves the untenable bladder pressure that seemingly accompanies the intellectual sarcoma of hyper-liberalism. Perhaps that bladder pressure explains some of the facial expressions these two men have while they exhort the grubby, unwashed liberal arts majors of the world to overthrow the tax base from whence their financial aide checks are ultimately drawn.

So what makes Al Gore and Harold Mean tick? Regrettably, it's not an explosive device, hard-wired to an old-fashioned wind-up alarm clock. Instead, these guys sneer at us with contempt because it feels good to gratuitously insult. It's as close as liberal true believers ever come to being charitable.

I've always thought that bullying behavior was over-compensation for some VERY deep seated insecurity. Some people are only able to feel good about themselves by tearing others down.

Luckily, we have the power to control whether they achieve their objective or not.

Not many who wish to be humble servants can be found anywhere....

Our savior and God (whose birth we celebrate this season)came to earth born in a humble stable..to working class parents.. ( stay at home mom and carpenter)

God (the Father) could have chosen any parents on earth...the educated..the wealthy..the powerfull...

God must know something about power and arrogance...we don't...

America was founded by such humble working class farmers..and tradesmen....and a patrician class that humbled itself..to serve..and lead by example...(rather than arrogantly rule over...
and tell us "character" doesn't count...)

A patrician class that in many cases gave up its wealth to the cause of Revolution and freedom
of all classes of Americans..is an American curiosity...lost on the likes of our present day aristocracy..
imo

There is an interesting comparison between Gore and Dean. Consider their wives! Only two presidential wives over the past 70 years have been reviled by most true Americans, Eleanor Roosevelt and Hillie. Most others have been perceived neutrally, with some, Barbara Bush Ladybird Jphnson, attaining some degree of personal stature.

Tipper Gore has been visable and, in general, performed well. She attacked the pornographers of Hollywood's neocommunist elite, for example. But, where is Dean's wife? What is she hiding? Does Gore know that he loses nothing by backing Dean because Dean can not win the nomination because of his wife and that will allow Gore to step in?

Gore has avoided being one of the dwarfs. He has remained aloof. What better way to get in than to get rid of ALL the other dwarfs and then, get rid of the one he's allowed to lead? Where is Dean's wife and why is he ashamed of her?

I think another aspect to this idea is that they are trying to 'fit-in' and be a part of the hip, cool, elite cliques. I think the problem with many, many of these people is that they still have the mentality of high school sophomores.

Gore is the kid in the front row apple polishing and showing off his fact checking brain to the teacher; frustrating the teacher and making the other kids despise him.

Dean is the wannabe jock cool guy hero type who skies, instead of proving himself on the battlefield. He is the abrasive kid who constantly picks fights but can't meet his opponent because Dean has a 2:00 dental appointment.

Kerry is the dork second stringer who really wants to do more than warm the bench. He wants to be hip, but is too gangly, gawky and scary to appeal to the cool chicks. He wants to smoke dope and do all of the wild things - like Gore - but both Gore/Kerry are afraid of getting a bad mark from the teacher.

Billy boy is the bullying stud who challenges anyone who threatens his stable of cheerleaders.

Hillary is the ugly duckling, more arrogant, smarter than Billy-boy but not pretty enough to be one of his cheerleaders. She does the physical makeover (and continues to do them - very telling). She wants control over the cheerleaders, the snobs, the jocks and everyone else who overlooked her and all that she believes she has to offer.

Didn't even know Dean had a wife but it's becoming pretty noticeable that the Dems are campaigning WITHOUT their wives and that they've all been told to shut up.

Kinda like, there is only one wife we want to see, and that's Bubba's part-time whatever.

Where's Bubba lately? Did Hillary lock him in a closet or has he been a bad boy again and "BLACKMAILING" Hillary with it.

He's really got her, "ya know". All he has to do is drop us some more good news about ALL his relationships and it's "Why are you standing by this disgusting pervert" time". He'll get his revenge!!

OK, thanks for the nightmare picture! I will crawl on broken glass to vote against that combo...so is Gore going be Dean's VP choice because the poor victim didn't get the prize the first time?

Is that why Gore keeps saying "keep your eye on the prize" to black people?

Just wait til he starts giving hot-head Deanie-Weenie advice in that pedantic, snobby, lisping voice of his.

Hillary is the ugly duckling...

Hillary is the class parlimentarian who found a loophole in the school's constitution and by-laws that allow a single student to take control of not only the school, but the entire school district, the PTA, and the board of education!

For future reference, the Marquis' name is spelled "de Sade". And his books are fascinating and not at all what you would expect, given modern "Sade-ist" (aka sadist) culture. Pronunciation is "deh SAHD".

"Does anyone else think that Gore looks eerily like Hitler in this pic?"

When I saw Al on television last night this was my first thought. My second thought was that he had the distinct appearance of a person with a bipolar disorder: beady unfocused eyes, a strange giddiness and a noticeable asymmetrical quality to his face. My third thought was horror: to imagine that there but by the grace of god and a few thousand Floridian numb-skulls who cannot read a ballot could be the president of the United States.

But, where is Dean's wife? What is she hiding?

Dean's wife has always avoided politics, making only very rare appearances as a First Wifey.

Actually, this is about the only positive thing I've seen about the Dean candidacy. I'm completely sick of all the First Wifey types in either party. They should be seldom seen and never heard. Admittedly, Laura Bush does fairly well at this. It actually gives her, in my mind, a far greater personal dignity than if she were some Hitlery-style Co-President.

In a post-feminist era, the whole First Lady thing is even more outdated and ridiculous than having beauty pageants.

As far as damaging info about Dean and his wife, I think that one or both have performed abortions. Howie is ticklish on the subject. Notice how when he recently railed against the politics of 'God and guns and gays', he somehow neglected to mention abortion?

I think that one or both are babykillers. And it even more fully qualifies them to lead the Dim party. If this becomes public, no one in the Dim party will be able to keep the nomination away from Howie.

Judith Dean's picture and a long page at Dean's site about why she doesn't do politics. And she's not actually ugly, going by the Eleanor Roosevelt standard of beauty in the Dim party. She looks a good deal like Marilyn Quayle but has a little more healthy appearance and an outgoing style by comparison. Unlike Hitlery who only pretended to be a career woman while doing little more than trading on Bill's official status as governor or president, Mrs. Dean always has been an independent professional. Howie became a doctor after she did.

Judith Dean's biography will not really disappoint the feminist wing, unlike Hillary who continues to embarass them.

In "Legacy", Rich Lowry agrees with you, and makes the following statement about the Clinton crowd. In the second paragraph on page 11, he says (as well as quoting others) .. "This elite didn't just feel a call to run the country, it felt it deserved to run the country. 'They think of themselves as entitled to power in a way their antecedents never did,' Weisberg writes. 'The Clinton circle has a prounounced class consciousness that tells them they're not just lucky to be here. They're running things because they're the best.' How could anyone reject the leadership of a group of people so intelligent and famously 'conscience stricken'? In the Clintons, this sense of entitlement produced a deep anger at the fact that their ambitions encountered resistance."

While Rich was primarily talking about the Clinton bunch, I certainly would include Dean and Gore in that group.

When President Bush says, "I'm honored to be", he really means it. The democrats are not honored to be anything .. they believe they deserve to be there because they are smarter than we are and they know better what we need.
