Ted "I've Ditched the Toupee" Danson was asked the question: ARE YOU OPTIMISTIC THAT PEOPLE'S ATTITUDES CAN CHANGE? (in reference to the marine ecosystem but his general outlook on life)

"Yes. For me, you have to drop down to the spiritual level and say "why are you here?" You're here to learn and grow and learn more about yourself and grow, and what better place and what better challenges to face than these? I don't think it's a matter of, "do you win the game or not", it's how gracefully do you play it. How much do you engage yourself in what's truly real and important in life. So, that's the individual question - I don't think it's a finger shaker at other people, it's just what's so. I mean, to me you could run the whole world on environmental issues. Address these environmental issues and you will address every issue known to man. And we keep dabbling in things that aren't really that important in the long term."

Makes me want to squat down, wrench my body into an almost unnatural pretzel position and release a guttural chant purging the pain of listening to it all.

Is this the show that Ted Danson is in?

Does anyone watch it? I know that I sure don't.

Maybe CBS could blast no-show political patronage job, limousines, fancy meals, 1st class airfare for all the pols. Maybe, if the pols didn't waste so much money, they could lower taxes AND keep social services.

I actually happen to see this very scene when I walked into the room. The little mans tantrum was ridiculous and should have had a DNC logo on the bottom right of the screen to help people know that this rant was straight from the liberal left socialist organization's mouth made to promote Howard Dean....

They just need to make sure they don't run it 60 days before an election...

Your comments are funnier than anything that was ever on the show. How do those morons think they can be funny while inserting a political screed right into the middle of a comedy script?

Our masters in the media can run anything they want 60 days before the election. Only we unworthy peons are forbidden to give our views. We should be humbly grateful they allow us to speak our minds at all, at any time, stupid greedy people that we are.

This sort of hogwash will be blasted all over the TV, radio, and print day and night starting on the sixtieth day before the presidential election. Pathetic peons like all of us have to be enlightened by our progressive masters. Whether we like it or not.

And if you try to present a different opinion, well off to slammer with you, as the supreme court said.

A good deal of what we think of as "America" died today.

I never have watched this show, but last week Mr. C4E was sleeping, I was in front of the TV reading a book, with the remote across the room, I must admit I was too lazy to get up to shut the TV off so I half listened. What a stupid show. Then, again most TV shows are stupid. Boy, am I gonna miss Fraiser when it goes off the air.

Becker opens door, whistles, and shouts: "He's the one with the ice cream." [crowd of people from facility enter the office of the Deputy and Becker leaves.]

Is this an indication they will be passing out ice cream for votes..usually they pass out smokes. ;)

Well, after all, they know what's best for us.

Once you recognize this, you'll be much more content.

And all these wonderul writers, actors, producers, directors, etc., do NOT EVER think about tax shelters or hiding income or off shore banking, etc., etc., etc.

I have a great idea! People who watch can Becker can voluntarily pay as much extra in taxes as they want. Then everyone can be happy...

I won't even watch re-runs of Cheers because of Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson. Commies both.

I tried watching this show twice, for a few minutes each time. It was advertised as being about a cantankerous, bigoted, conservative (I know -- redundancy alert) doctor. But it turned out to be ... politically correct and unfunny (rendundant again, oh my!). The doc just turned out to talk in a cantankerous way, but without any bite, wit, or ... conservatism. (A real, uncensored, intelligent conservative at sea in gay New York would be a promising premise.) And his best friend was apparently a blind, gay, black guy -- no, I'm not making this up! Then they even brought in comedy pro Nancy Travis, to try and save the sinking ship, but no performer can save execreble writing. It was the dead weight writers who needed to be thrown overboard.

You'd better protect yourself from learning anything about performers you like to watch. In Tinseltown, they're almost all infected. With some actors, I'm able to have an out-of-body experience while watching them; only afterwards, do I recall that they're traitors.
