Just got word that we are taking a few 1-2nd graders(local school) for a "ride to FL510" on Wed 17th for the 100 year celebration. That should be interesting , never been there yet fl470 highest so far.

I was going to post some facts but Gritty's got it covered.

And the very suggestion that this might inspire the terrorists to lie to the ATC system... I mean, somebody up that dude's dosage, the current one isn't bringing him back all the way to reality. WTF does he think the terrorists did on 9/11?

Also, anybody who thinks AF1 climbs like any other 747 hasn't seen it fly -- or read even the published specs. Writing nonsense about stuff you know nothing about, I thought that's what anonymous posters on Internet boards were supposed to do? (grin). Kinda flaky for bylined reporters to be doing it.
