Because nothing is more sad than people who try to do porno and can't quite figure out how.....
To: .cnI redruM
Would you rather have these people working or drawing either unemployment or welfare?
I am all for working instead of sucking up my taxes.

I think they ought to die in the gutter while pleading, "Please... a breadcrust. Please."
I'm heartless like that.

just shakes my head.. :-\
you 2 been sipping aunt fanny's fruit juice, the stuff that comes in a green bottle.
porn - the 'net's biggest money-making business and employer of wayward souls... some say it's mainstream.. when you see the obscenities our courts pull off these days, it may well be true ..

People with no moral compass. Enablers of vice. People to whom money is more important than the fact that their "job" is harming people. Libertarians may say that pornography doesn't harm people. What goes in to the mind through the senses - eyes, ears, etc - makes a mark on the mind and heart. Enough crap in their, and the mind and heart are irreperably gunked up.
I've known people who got into porn and it hurt them and the people they were relating to.
Sexual libertinism isn't good for individuals, and a society made of libertines is a society that is sick.

Hayes, who describes himself as "a
conservative person," says he used to work for a Web portal for the elderly before that site shut down and he decided to pursue teaching porn. The school, which has four staff members, is based in tony Newport Beach, California,
a mostly Republican suburb of Los Angeles whose most famous resident was
conservative screen idol John Wayne. No bias here. If it were in LA would they be talking about Barbra Streisand and Ed Asner?
To: A.J.Armitage
Actually, the SCOTUS feels that it is more important for you to be able to view porn than to hear political arguements immediately before an election.
Maybe we could get them to allow prime-time porn during election season...
To: CurlyDave
Amazing how the Founding Fathers vision of "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech..." has been twisted to allowing "virtual kiddie porn" ,porn in libraries and burning of our Flag but doesn't apply to political speech.
The Bill of Rights - Void where prohibited by law.

I'm merely basing my opinion on:
A. Every single monotheistic religion in the world, also including Buddhism
B. The stated viewpoint of the original Founding Fathers and many of their honorable, thoughtful and wise contemporaries.
C. My unclouded commone sense and intelligence, and powers of observation.
D. Great thinkers current and ancient.
E. History.
You are basing your opinion on your sexual desires and the need to see those desires justified.
Hmm, I wonder which viewpoint carries the most weight?
To: little jeremiah
And you limited what my point was. I am not saying that there should never be allowed any sexual imagery. I am saying that untrammeled sexual libertinism is a good way to ruin civilization.
I am not in favor of putting skirts on piano "limbs", burkhas, or defacing legitimate art work. There is a vast gulf between prudery and an out of control porno industry along with an anything goes sexually libertine social atmosphere.
To: CurlyDave
I usually volunteer my services for free. I should sue for lost wages. Besides, this way, if I ever ended up like John Wayne Bobbitt, I'd be getting workman's comp. even if I wasn't getting much of anything else.

I see. So the federal laws against pornography at the time of the Founding were... ?
In Jesus's time, sexual imagry was a) unheard of; b) a common household decoration that survives to this day in, at least, mosiacs in Roman homes.
And would your "common sense" and "powers of observation" have more to do with pulpit-pounding preachers pushing their own view of hell fire, or with the actual history of sexual expression in society?

The online porn industry is headed for stagnation due to market oversaturation IMO.
Not a good suggestion for starting an online business.
