Okay, folks, here is our chance to record - for all time - the dimwitted comments made by leftwingers in the U.S. regarding the fall of the evil dictator, Saddam Hussein.
Imagine that you are in occupied Europe in 1945, and it's your duty to get collaborators commentary out - written down on your trusty Underwood.
It's our duty and our privilege. Write on.
Here's a sampling of what I've found:
Washington (com)Post writer Robin Wright, "this isn't going to transform the situation"
Time's Joe Klein, "another terrorist attack on America would completely change this dynamic."
Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich, "we must...end the occupation of Iraq"
Presidential Candidate John F'ing Kerry, "It's a good day for Iraqis, but Americans are still going to die."
Dan Rather, "think of how poor Saddam must feel" paraphrased.
CNN - "the Iraqis don't care, there's not enough electricy and there are gas lines." Also, "why did it take so long?"
MSNBC - "the insurgents are too well organized to quit."
Campbell Brown - "This should help President Bush."
NPR - repeated the no-gas, no-water line
Paula Zahn and Aaron Brown - "Bush had better not gloat."
Yasser Arafat, taking a page away from Tom Daschle, is "saddened."
Evan Thomas, he of the infamous "thrice married shlub" slam against Rush Limbaugh, writes that "in a land where pride and dignity mean anything, the images (of Saddam being examined by US military doctors) are clearly intended to shame."
DUH, Evan, perhaps they were meant to show that - unlike Saddam and his tree shredder buddies - US doctors humanely treat even our worst enemies.
And then there are our friends at Democratic Underground. They inhabit a true Middle Earth, rife with demonical conspiracies devilishly enacted by that sub-human Neanderthal George W. Bush. How Bush can be so stupid and yet so devious remains to be explained.
According to our DU buddies, Bush was "jealous of Clinton, and with Wes Clark on his way to Sarajevo in order to testify against Milosevic, Bush had to nab Hussein."
Other theories posit that the exuberant street dancing by Iraqis, "appeared staged."
And, that the capture was an elaborate "photo op."
One almost has to feel sorry for such types. At least we can offer them a one way ticket to the destination of their choice - France?

Can someone please explain to me why they're angry that the Butcher of Baghdad has been captured. They get angry whenever the U.S. succeeds at anything. Iraq, economy, whatever. They get upset that W is getting credit for positive things happening. They just hate that.

I'm afraid if we were to collect and post all the inane comments from the bedwetters FR would quickly run out of disk space! Unlike other places, atleast the insane don't run this asylum. We have our outrageous posts, but they are truely a small minority, unlike DU where only nutcases are even allowed to post.

They realize they've lost another campaign issue.

Can you think of anything normal Americans can do/wear/say tomorrow when out and about at work, school and shopping to display our joy and pride, and discomfit and shame the leftists? I know a flag pin, but can you think of some emblem, symbol? I feel like making a home made bumper sticker - any ideas?

In the DUmmy world if something good happens to them its bad and vice versa. Heck they believe the media is conservative. Took me a while to figure that one out.

I stopped in at DU for a minute, that's all I could take. In one thread, they were attempting to brush off the capture as if it was no big deal. Uh huh, no big deal. I guess that's all they've got left. No big deal. Harrumph.
It sucks to be a DUmmie today. It sucks to have to take another step backward into the corner.
It's, errr, uhhh, all about oil, I....I just know it is...It has to be.......

I, for one, have derived great enjoyment at good ol' DU today. The bitterness and squirming was too much fun!

On ABC/Peter Jennings tonight, they ran a 30 second clip of the President saying that Saddam had tried to have his father killed. It was shown immediately after the clip of the Presidents remarks from today. God help us...they are beyond any pretense at all. Blatant and proud of it.
All my children are getting cable service for Christmas.

Pretty pathetic when dems can't even give credit to the Bush administration for carrying out a successful mission.

The DU-monistas are really in trouble now!
It looks like LIEberman will gain momentum from the RAT voting base. That means the radical Leftist DU-monistas will have to look to Nader for their role model now!
Surely Nader will have to run if LIEberman gains the front-runner position.

Rumsfeld was interviewed on CBS? by some leftist liberal angry bitter woman. She was trying to put words in Rumsfeld mouth about the WMD and it was funny how he put her in her place. You could see the anguish on her face that Saddam was caught and the coalition forces are making progress. She was trying to stick a thorn in Rumsfeld side without giving any credit. Typical

My favorite was John Kerry this morning on "Meet the Depressed". He said...and I'm paraphrasing I think...
"We almost didn't have enought troops for the job" I rolled over my chair laughing, because I realized that this was going to be the catch phrase of the week. I think he said almost 10 times in his interview.

GASP! The Iraqis still don't have enough water and power! That, after all, is far more important than stopping the torture and summary executions, isn't it? "At least under Saddam they had water and electricity!"
Yes, they did. And from what I've seen of the torture rooms, they had a way of using water and electricity that I've really never seen before...

When I heard Matthews ranting tonite I was convinced he or I was on psychadelic (sp?) drugs. Could NOT imagine I was really hearing what I was hearing or hearing what he was saying....LOLOLOLOL
Add Pat Cadell to the mix and I am now convinced it was a nightmare.

I think it's about time UC Berkeley allocated some money to do a study on what makes liberals tick. Politics can be brutal, but there has got to be some mental disorder behind the hatred and anger that drives these people...a hatred so deep-seeded that they cheer America's failures and mourn America's success. What we have seen with things like the Wellstone funeral and the recent secret memos that outline Democratic duplicity and obstruction, only points to a sickness that inhabits the liberal mind. I use to think these peole were just irritants...but these people really are dangerous.
