"It's delusional on the part of Kerry and Dean to believe that the success of the American role in the peace process depends on the envoy," he said. "The candidates have to say what their policies are, what it is they stand for. There is a lack of honesty here and an avoidance of addressing the real issues."

I think this concluding paragraph sums it up well.

Dimwitted DimRATS. He couldn't do it the eight years he was there! If this wasn't so laughable it would be pathetic. They must be tuned in to the media saying they need the soccer moms, or is it the security moms, or the single dumb dimrat women, or..... get Clinton on board and it's sealed up because he exudes such a, what's the word? Oh yeah, STENCH!

Clinton brokered the Barak plan.

Arafat said no.

Nothing more can be done with Clinton.

"It would be hard to pick a better representative of American interests."

Maybe another Nobel prize for Arafat?

With all due respect, wrong...

This is what I have in common with John Holmes.

"It would be hard to pick a better representative of American interests."

The slob never had American interests in his mind. It's all about him.

It will take years to undo the harm that he did to America.

Hope he doesn't forget to take Chelsea....remember this?

He(Clinton) recalled that his our daughter (Chelsea) took a course on Islamic history in high school and read large portions of the Koran and came home at night and educated her parents about it

Clinton would be a formidable negotiator.

Hell yes. The ongoing war is the fruit of his formidable negotiations.

Hopefully he doesnt broker it as good as his last Mid East peace deal or how he brokered Bin Laden to world wide terroristic fame and power.

Cant Clinton just retire please? Wasnt 8 long torturous embarrassing years enough already. Jeez.

He would do better pimping interns for 2 bucks a shot than brokering peace

Clearly this is a racist attack and undercutting of Jessie Jackson who everyone knows is the only one who can negotiate a just peace.

Didn't Clinton have Sharon and Arafat over to Camp David where we were shown pictures of a very solemn President trying to get both sides to agree? If I remember correctly Israel gave up (offered) way more than it should have and Yasser turned it down.

Clinton is a figgin idiot!

"Around here, we'd call that called a Septic Tank."

That's a very apt discription of the organization.

It is an indication of how stupid (and morally bankrupt) Ketchup Boy and the Idiot are. Calling Dean an idiot may be giving him too much credit, he is not that smart.

I thought I couldn't feel any sicker today...but this did it. This has been a really revolting day! I don't ever want to have to see clinton giving little hugs to Arafat again. President Bush MUST be re-elected. The stakes are enormous in so many areas!

Oh, well, of course. Since he did such a hellacious good job while he was in office.

What are these people, completely nuts? Given his behavior in office, God knows what he would do as a private citizen.

Bill Clinton is among the worst people imaginable to take on this role. He's always been focused on getting everyone's approval. Someone who knew him well (mother?) said if he was in a room where 99 people liked him and one didn;t, he would spend all his energy to get that one person to like him.

A negotiator cannot function with such a weakness. You need to be able to walk away. One example: President Reagan refused to surrender ballistic missile defense in negotiations with Gorbachev. It meant walking away with no deal from a summit. It meant disappointing the entire kumbaya world who had their hearts set on another "feel good" moment of capitulation.

Not sure the Gipper knew it at the time, but when he refused to cave Gorbachev realized the Soviet Union could never win the cold war. He figured out the race was bankrupting them and they had lost.

Could you ever in your wildest imagination picture Clinton standing firm in such a situation? He could never accept the notion that people would be mad at him even if he did what was right. He signed treaties that the Senate would never ratify (ICC, Kyoto), just to be loved - leaving Congress to be the bad cop.

Selecting him shows how spineless these candidates are. Either that or Hillary has REALLY good FBI files stuff on them.
