Hanson is so good.

Excellent work by VDH, as always. Europe's descent into moral lethargy and intellectual isolation continues.

Interesting and arresting analogy. The Odyssey is still, after many years, one of my favorite books. It does a bit too much credit to the Euroweenies to compare them to the hero Odysseus. There is the fact much of Odysseus' genius lay in guile, but then he was creative in its use.

Interesting. I've called the Europeans "Lotus Eaters" on a number of occasions.

had recently with a series of Europeans a good cross-section really of Scandinavians, British, Germans, Greeks, and Dutch. Actually not a cross-section of Europeans, but a cross-section of "Old Europe". Would have received some different answers if he'd been talking to Poles, Slovaks, Romanians, Bulgarians, Albanians or Macedonians.
