Christmas is the anniversary of GW's attack on the Prussians in the Revolutionary War. Some regard it as the turning point. How many celebrate this during Christmas every year?
A Christmas attack would only create a negative remembrance of Islam. Gotta' be careful who you pi$$ off. OBL isn't too bright in that manner.
