You're right in an overall sense, but I quit buying GE branded consumer products years ago anyway. My new range was broken on delivery, and was subsequently repaired twice more, their VCR died after 13 months, the dishwasher pump crapped out after two years - these are problems I haven't had with Maytag, Whirlpool, Sylvania, et al. Plus, the cult of Jack Welch nauseates me. Plus Plus, my father in law was a steel mill electrician, and he hated GE, too.

My nominations for GE's new ad jingle. I vote for number 4, though perhaps GE should clue their PR people into #7.

General Electric, in response to Muslim complaints, has decided to pull its lighting advertisements from Paul Harvey's syndicated radio show, at least for the time being.

The global one-world marketplace in action. I hope all the free traitors are happy.

I'll go you one better. I'll search my house and get rid of everything I find with GE on it. From lightbulbs to radios.

I understand that GE has decided to pull its commercials from the Paul Harvey radio program, based on a comment that he made regarding the muslim religion.

I ask GE:

What religious group is responsible for sending suicide murderers to peaceful neighbors to blow up men, women, and children, with nail bombs?

What religious group trained their followers to fly commercial airliners into tall buildings to kill 3000 innocents?

What religious group was responsible for destroying a nightclub in Bali, killing hundreds?

What religious group was responsible for murdering US troops in Beirut?

What religious group was responsible for the bombing of the US warship, the Cole?

The spineless organization at GE is so politically correct that it can't even accept the fact that the muslim religion teaches jihad to try to destroy any and all infidels.

Perhaps, once GE and its employees suffer the losses and death brought about by the fanatics that practice this religion, will your company come to understand the folly of your ways.

Meanwhile, when there's a choice, I will not support GE products and services; and, I hope that I am only one of many!

Mmmm, me too! I also love them raw! Just wash them and eat them like an apple. Brings back wonderful memories of my southern grandmother who used to grow them in her garden, and taught me to love them! (along with grits, of course!)
