>I have no problem with there being a certain amount of >trust after three dates
Certain amount of trust is knowing you can leave someone at your apartment while running to the store. Telling someone you are a CIA undercover agent is NOT a "certain amount of trust", especially after three dates!!!

Yep. Of course, I wonder why he is overblowing it...
Any suggestions as to why?

I don't care how much they give her sunglasses and a scarf, if you are that serious of an undercover agent for the CIA, then you don't put your picture in a magazine. JEEZ. This woman needs to be fired, but then they would just scream a Bush conspiracy.

The "outing" scandal has already supplied all the political blast it can muster. It is just running its course. But the continued publicity cannot just be Wilson being a loose cannon. CIA must have given their permission for the Vanity Fair interview. We know CIA is partisan liberal, but I don't credit them with the stones to be playing this for further partisan gains. Maybe this in some perverse way reestablishes a cover for Valerie Plame.

Three dates and she gives it up.
Hmm..

"Meeting in Paris, London and Brussels, [the relationship between Plame and Wilson] got very serious, very quickly. On the third or fourth date, he says, they were in the middle of a 'heavy make-out' session when she said she had something to tell him." Man, what some desperate women won't do to get a guy to commit (snicker).

Yes indeed--the gold mining franchise exposes yet another Wilson conflict of interest--(in addition to his being obviously partisan.) Did the article make any mention of how he currently is making a living--aside from pimping his wife, that is?

He operates JW Investments.
He also has a connection to Rock Creek Corp ... variously he is an advisor to it, or some other status. He uses a Rock Creek e-mail address.

According to the WSJ, the law is that you cannot reveal the identity of an UNDERCOVER agent withing four years of their undercover work. Valerie Plame had not been undercover within the past four years when the leak occurred. No crime was committed.

Since Wilson was vocally against the war to begin with and is now a highly visible member in good standing with the Move-On.org people, we can assume this entire "scandal" has been created along the lines of the British "security leak scandal" which crashed Blair "honesty" poll numbers. It's also difficult to weep huge saline tears for Wilson since he first outted his wife in "Who's Who" a few years ago.
Robert Novak could end this entire comedy episode if he came forward and repeated what he has already said many times on CNN: That the "leaker" wasn't a member of the administration and that the subject of Novak's original story has been completely and pointedly ignored. That is, how does someone from the Clinton administration, who has always been against Bush and the war, get assigned the mission of investigating Saddam's African nuclear adventure? An adventure the president of Niger still claims existed.

My husband received a letter from a former employee, asking to be re-instated in his job because the man said that he was a former hit man for the CIA and that the job had been a cover and that he left to perform a service for the CIA. Now that he had quit working for the CIA, he decided that he liked his former cover job.

I think that Plame hadn't worked undercover for years and was just using that as a line to promote her mystique. I highly doubt that an undercover agent would divulge such information to a virtual stranger.
Thus, two scenarios emerge: either she lied to him, or he lied to Vanity Fair.
Either way, this smarmy SOB needs to have his 15 minutes of fame put to an end.

JW Investments being Joe Wilson Investments, I presume. I'd sure like to have a peek at that portfolio...or, more like--I'd like to have a private investigator have a peek at that portfolio...
