Good Job, and Well Done, Marine. Let's look at your analysis:

Your (a) is good;

Your (b) is dead on target, as is your memory;

Your (c) I might quibble over; I have known and been aquainted with several baby-faced field grades in my time. If this were an officer, I'd have to hedge the bet at company-grade: CPT, but not much higher.

Your (d) is the debate point. I honestly could not discern a rank or branch insignia with the image quality I had. If I had a "Guess Free" card, what you see as the chevron points, could also be the points of a 5-pointed star: the insignia of General Staff. That would be logical, given my take that it's a division HQ setting for background.

Taken as a package, your analysis was pretty dang good!

"Thank you for your service to our country."

My good friend, it was truly my honor to serve. And I would do so again if I were still single!

I graciously accept and treasure your heartfelt thanks.

"Good Job, and Well Done, Marine. "

Thank you, Old Sarge!

"Your (b) is dead on target, as is your memory;"

That is good to hear - I was pretty worried that I had misremembered.

"If this were an officer, I'd have to hedge the bet at company-grade: CPT, but not much higher."

I would agree.

"Your (d) is the debate point. I honestly could not discern a rank or branch insignia with the image quality I had."

Yes, this is the stickler. It is rather difficult to clearly see details with the level of image quality. But I'm still convinced, however, that he is a PFC.

"Taken as a package, your analysis was pretty dang good!"

Thank you!

That doesn't seem like a handshake. More like the position for putting on handcuffs.

Go Army!

This man is living my dream, not that I dream of Hillary (GROSS) but dream of publicly embarassing her. Hope he doesn't end up on the Clinton body count.

Had to do a double-take to see if those fingers were crossed or extended.

I love it but I hope he's not in trouble :)
