I read your post and still think the whole thing is petty. If Ghandi were born today he probably WOULD own a gas station and convenience store!

How about this story:

My husband works in IT and is involved with outsourcing. One of his Indian (India) guys complained to him that they were being called "Underwear Consultants". My husband couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Weeks later he was talking to someone in his office and this person mentioned the fact that the guys from India come here with nothing but their "underwear". The light went on for my husband! When my husband told me this story we giggled about it. I don't feel the least bit bad, guilty, or EVIL. It's just funny.

I HATE Hilary, but not for a really bad joke. She has NO sense of humor and even if she told the funniest joke ever, it would fall flat.

Sorry, but you are missing my point entirely, which has virtually ZERO to do with the substance of hillary clinton's ethnic "joke."

(Notwithstanding, (as I stated above), as for the substance of the "joke," Gandhi's own grandson, who runs the Gandhi Institute, disagrees with you about the harmfulness of hillary clinton's ethnic stereotyping. Magnify the harm by many orders of magnitude when a political "leader" does this, and does this publicly.)

BTW, it sounds to me like your story undercuts your argument. You and your husband may have "giggled," but the butt of your giggles, the Indians, had, in your words, "complained." The Indians thought they were being stereotyped and they apparently didn't like it.

the ethnic "joke" is particularly significant because:
1-it disproves the clintons' defense of hillary clinton's anti-Semitic slur.
2-it disproves the PR about hillary clinton's purported intelligence.

I heard the tape of this utterance on Imus' show this morning. Her vocal quality sounded almost medicated; Flat affect and a fugue state.

I agree. When the woman is not in a rage, she has an affect so flat and dissonant that it cannot be explained by simple clinton arrogance; the flat affect -- and the perpetual rage -- (each taken separately, as well as the two, together) are symptoms of real psychological dysfunction. If you play the other flash movie, "On Ethnic Slurs," (above), you will learn that people who know her best say she is in a perpetual state of rage. Put the two together and you have one very sick creature (who, not so incidentally, wants to rule the world....) If you click on the graphic (below) to play the Gandhi flash movie, you will actually hear hillary clinton telling her ethnic "joke." You will also see revelvant, inculpatory commentary by the husband.
