I read an article that did say everything was documented with photographs. This was done, to preserve evidence, if and when it proved to be Saddam. If it hadn't been Saddam, then no one every would have heard about the hole in the ground, let alone seen this picture.

(Remember Jessica Lynch's rescue, that was recorded on film, as it happened.)

They had a pretty good idea it was him. After all, it was Saddam they had been sent to look for. I would imagine there were dozens if not hundreds of photos taken, but the brass have been keeping them back.

I think his hair has a believeable gravity tug in the direction of the ground. But what would I know? If Micheal Rivero were here he'd be pointing out all the visual clues that "prove" the photo was actually taken before 9/11, in the main floor men's room of the Bellagio.
