I have gotten e-mails back from the dirtbag who runs takebackthemedia calling me a nazi.

I may regret this, especially in light of your post, but I also emailed those repugnant rejects. Here's my email:

"I am SO GLAD your website is promoting ads depicting the Bush family connections to Adolph Hitler and his Nazi regime.

You see, you're doing conservatives a huge favor by becoming famous. The more media outlets trumpet your despicable, loathsome "ads," the better the odds President Bush will be re-elected. In case you haven't noticed, most Americans with more than two brain cells -- NOT liberals, by the way -- will register universal disgust with your sick tactics. I'm delighted that members of the ADL and the Simon Wisenthal Center are getting a real glimpse of just how low liberals will sink to...not that conservatives haven't known it all along.

takebackthemedia.com is operated by Michael Stinson and his wife, Julie Sigwart in Isla Vista, CA (also in Carpenteria)-- just two lightweight cartoonists. Why are they getting into the Bush=Hitler outrage?

Those opinions are MoveOn.org's opinions for several reasons. Each of the people cited by York as the celebrity Bush=Nazi crowd gave generous sums of money to MoveOn.org. MoveOn.org knew very well what these people's views were prior to accepting their contributions. MoveOn.org then publicized the fact that these people gave them money. Clearly, MoveOn.org was very happy with their views, while they were forking over contributions and at the end of the day, he who pays the piper, calls the tune.

Basically, all I've heard in this response is that MoveOn.org bears no responsibility for what appears on it's site. That people who in no way represent MoveOn.org's views just post there and send them money out of an abiding sense of ennui. It sounds good, puts it's not fundamentally accurate.

If liberal opinion sites such as DU and MoveOn.org want to maintain their ongoing claims that Right Wing talk radio and Internet sites incite hateful speech and behavior, these same organizations need to own up to the hate speech and evil deeds that the nut-job fringe adhering to their ideology commit. Particularly, when these behaviors are a featured part of their own web site.
