You People?  Oh pious one ...Were it an option, I'd personally favor the expatriation of all foreign nationals that have entered the country since WWII.  That would include all from the former Soviet satellite nations.  That would include persons given haven for "humanistic" reasons.  This is not an option though, and that's a reality.  The reality of current immigration law is that it is failing miserably.  Your solution is simplistic.  If the remedy were to enforce existing laws, the problem would not be present today.  The problem is larger than current laws can address.  The present laws failed, plain and simple.

As for giving Bush credit for breathing, I'd no more give him credit for that then I'd give Al Gore credit for "inventing" the Internet.  I do give Bush credit for giving the immigration problem attention.
