Notwithstanding any other provision of law, employees of the Department of Homeland Security in positions in the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services shall be citizens of the United States..

I thought that was a given. Wonders never cease! BUMP

AND.......thousands of illegal aliens are preying on Americans everyday! There are currently 60 i.a.'s safe in Mexico after committing murder here in California. 60! Mexico does no cooperate with deportation for their criminals who might get the death penalty or life in prison. They consider that inhumane.

The local TIMEX shop owner befriended an i.a. a few years back and even allowed him to stay at his home until he got on his feet. John (the store owner) also had Tony, a 23 year old man and friend of my daughter, working there.

There was some disagreement and the illegal entered the back door of the shop shooting John in the mouth and the shot and killed Tony. He ran to Mexico, of course.

John was in the hospital for months recuperating from the bullet that entered his mouth and Tony never got up off the floor.

You tell me.....can you look at an illegal and decide if they are a potential criminal or not? Me either....

Tracking party affiliation is very hard to do..... It depends upon the state as to whether you even register by party affiliation.... Example in Texas you don't, you choose which primary you want to vote in when you get to the polls..... In Louisiana you register by party affiliation.... I can't tell you state by state but my guess is it would be hard to track nationwide...

I fantasize 70% of angry Americans backing a new conservative......how about the Independent Party? I have to check some of these people out. I am really worried now that Bush can't be trusted.

Yep fantasizing is nice but nor reality.... Face it, the next President will be either President Bush or the nominee from the Democrat Party barring a catastrophic event to either one of them. Go back some 12 years and look at the election then. Perot got almost 20 million votes, almost 19% of the vote and zero electoral college votes of the 270 needed to win. 3rd parties don't do well in today's enviornment.

President Bush can't do much that the Congress doesn't authorize. So the real effort needs to be in the Legislation that will come from Congress, after all they write the legislation and issue the implementing regulations. If the legislation/regulation is put together correctly then at least the problem will be addressed with some hope of success.

I would have to look at it further, but I believe that passage is unconstitutional. To achieve that, an actual Amendment would have to be passed and ratified.

There is some good stuff in this bill, and I've read it all. But make no mistake about it. It's intrusive to Americans as well as foreign visitors. It's not quite a national identity card, but it's 80% there. And I'm not sure how many Americans want to file their resumes with the Department of Labor.

But the conditions which lead up to a guest worker program are designed to make sure that such a program will never happen. Not ever in a million years. It's actually asinine to include those conditions since the intent was to make sure that they could never be complied with.

To call this a guest worker bill is a fraud.

Tancredo

As much press as Tom Tancredo is recieving over this issue, I am going to go with him. I believe some one said on here to register independant, and then write his name in.

The California Coalition for Immigration Reform, has bumper stickers, "Tom Tancredo for President"

I figure that is the best advertistment you can have, every one sees it. Most of the other political parties have the same view on illegals, so if any one is thinking of a differnet party, it might be good to check out their position on illegal immigration.
Mine should be here next week.

There are 30,000+ illegals serving in the Unites States Military. It looks like we are even training their military.

Do you remember when California used to be in play at the very least for Republicans in presidential politics?

Do you remember when English was the first language? Do you remember the Republican convention at the Cow Palace in 1956? Do you remember President Eisenhower?

President Bush can't do much that the Congress doesn't authorize.

Actually he can, Clinton did a lot with Executive Orders, and it requires a vote in congress to overturn them.
