Here were three men who served honorably and well, and people say they shouldn't even have been there. Why do people care so much about whether someone is straight or gay?

Here's what a retired veteran says about this on a recent thread about these same guys:

To a former enlisted man, and E-4, the opinions of a three retired generals and admirals means nothing. They did not live in barracks, a place where there is no privacy. They did have to deal with questions of small unit integrity and cohesion where any suspicion of favortism is a serious problem. And they did not have any idea of the pressures facing junior enlisted personnel, many of whom suffer from loneliness and disorientation on a daily basis. I do not doubt that many gays wish to serve in the Armed Forces, but the United States government is under no obli-gation - moral, legal, or ethical - to accede to their wishes. No gay individual enlists or joins the Armed Forces without knowing that for the term of their enlistment, their sexual orientation must remain private. If any gay person cannot do that, then he or she should refrain from joining the Armed Forces. To join without that conviction is to make a lie of his or her enlistment oath. Before enlisting a gay person must ask him or herself, "Is my sexuality more important that my oath?" They must understand that the answer to that question will be a measure and a test of character. What gives the views of these three officers special credence? Were any of them mustangs with a unique understanding of the morale of the troops? Were any of them combat commanders of great skill? Were any of them great strategists or tacticians? Were any of them distinguished by their knowledge of military history, policy, and law? In fact, the opinions of the flag officers mentioned in the article cannot in any way stand against the opinions of dozens, nay hundreds and perhaps thousands, of retired flag officers who oppose allowing gays to serve in the military. To those who say that the US is depriving itself of the services of talented individuals, I reply: We will survive. The United States Armed Forces have endured Civil War, two World Wars, an inconclusive war in Korea, and a political defeat in Vietnam. It can survive and prosper without the services of those who cannot abide its regulations and policies.

Homosexual Agenda Ping - These three "gay" retired military guys are really drawing a crowd.

I personally have had it with homosexual propaganda and their concerted effort to destroy any and all semblence or morality in not only America but the world. (And with the destruction of morality comes the destruction of freedom, don't doubt it.)

It should now be obvious to anyone who has not been in a coma for twenty years that homosexual activists and their pimps in the media have no tolerance for anyone who doesn't bow and scrape to them and their psychopathology. If people who see the truth don't start fighting back, hatespeech arrests will be starting in within a year or two.

If anyone wants on or off this ping list, let me know.

For years blacks walked to the back of the bus while whites sat in the front. They were used to it. Nobody bragged or complained about anything. Think of these guys as being fed up, the gay version of Rosa Parks.

A lot of black people are extremely insulted by having race - which is something one is born with, not a choice, and not a set of behaviors, compared with a set of deviant, unhealthy and unnatural behaviors. Behaviors which are inextricably linked with disease, untimely death, promiscuity, higher incidence of child molestation, depression, and have been condemned as unhealthy and unnatural since time immemorial.

It's a lifestyle CHOICE. Last time I checked, black people couldn't CHOOSE their skin color. To equate Rosa Parks' situation with that of homosexuals is ludicrous.

FYI, homosexuals call themselves and each other "faggot", "fag", and "queer" all the time.

I'd argue that nature has created gays. I'd argue that it is a genetic predisposition.

And by your argument one could also argue that "nature" has created pedophiles, rapists, adulterers, and so on. As far as your argument about genetics, even homosexuals who have tried to prove a genetic cause for same sex attraction have admitted failure. Do you have a new study you've just completed?

You can argue that it is a "genetic predisposition" all you want. So far, there has been no proof of that. And not for lack of trying, I'm sure.

Chief Inspector to Godebert: "And I'm not even gay."

Actually, Godebert, she is gay. Chief Inspector is a woman who used to post on Freerepublic under the name of jengaio. Jengaio, when she first came on the forum, announced to all that she was gay. Since that time, she has posted under many names, some of which are: Martyn Tarne, Gina Joe, just vincent, stdiego, The Boston Stranger, calcetines, cafecito, Wheat, editer, EllisV, Williewonta, hsimon and many others.

This will serve to show you, Godebert, how honest a gay person can be. I wonder if Chief Inspector's duplicity is typical of gay people in general. I think if they were asked who they might want representing their arguments on this forum, that they would probably choose someone other than Chief Inspector.

Your words to me: "You're on TOS accusing me of infidelity to someone I don't even KNOW (do I??)"

Your lack of reading comprehension belies your claims to have a great intellect. I'm here on "TOS" accusing you of infidelity to the woman you claim is your partner--the woman who lives with you, and with whom you say you have been joined for the past 12 years. Do you want me to name her... can you understand, w/o my naming her?

I am also accusing you of dishonesty in telling the earlier poster, Godebert, that you were not gay, when in fact you have been advertising yourself as a gay woman on the internet for over a year now.

The moderators were very wise to ban you in the first place. Why do you continually return to FR, violating its rules? You weren't "banned because you were gay", either, as you like to say. You were, by all accounts, banned b/c you started a thread which could have been construed as a come-on (possibly a dating come-on, which is not FR's purpose) to other gays--perhaps b/c you wanted to meet people, I don't know. Or perhaps merely to disrupt FR, which you continue to do, and which you continue to take pleasure in.

It is a disgusting imposition for you to compare the duplicitous hate-mongering of homosexual activists to the struggles of blacks to be treated equally.

A homosexual can hide his/her status by not engaging in certain behaviors. A person cannot hide the color of his/her skin.

Blacks were enslaved. Homosexuals are not and were not enslaved (unless we want to count the S&M games of which some of them are so fond). Furthermore, homosexuals are not oppressed. Since much of how one fares in our society depends on how much disposable income one has, homosexuals are doing quite well. Trust me, those companies, etc., who are so sweet to homosexuals lately are doing so only b/c they want to get into their fat wallets--not b/c of any particular liking for their spurious cries of victimization. A Pyrrhic victory for the homosexuals, I'd say.

I would love to know what the descendants and other fans of Rosa Parks would have to say about that.

Homosexuals have never sat in the back of the bus--in fact, they are currently trying to hog the steering wheel of the bus, no doubt so that they can drive it off a cliff, to further indulge the self-destructive tendencies which so many of them (including you) exhibit.

If anyone is wondering about the true identity of Chief Inspector, who has recently visited the Laci threads and other threads, read her posts on here, and read my responses to her.

These fags do nothing but hurt the military by coming out of the closet. Less normal folks will sign up if faggotry is ever accepted by the military. And the division of America will continue to deepen....

If the endless lying and other fraud of Chief Inspector, a gay woman, is any indication, gays are a very duplicitous sort of people.

I didn't notice any posts which said that these men should not have been there. I believe that most people don't have a problem with homos serving as long as they keep their mouths shut so they don't give the people around them the creeps. Don't ask, don't tell. It's not very complicated.

Well, all the lesbians I've known have been very accomplished liars, and I've known more than I ever wanted to.

THe UCMJ sanctions ALL sodomy, irrespective of orientation. So any straight married serviceman who does the old "sessantenove" with his mrs are technically guilty as well...
