I've thought for a long time that Brokaw would one day run for a senate seat. I still think so.

Brent Bozell should be considered one of the godfathers of the Converative "new media" movements. Tommy Boy would rather have us just listen to the propaganda of the oppressed instead of hearing different viewpoints.
To: SJackson
And they wonder why more people are watching Fox,why conservative talk shows are popular and why internet sites like Free Republic are so popular.Brokow is blind to his bias and doesn't like conservatives to disagree.

I used to think he was fair. Now I'm getting a Walter Cronkite, elitist, Martha's Vineyard, boating with the Kennedys kind of image of old Tom. Oh, well. Off with his head too.

Tom Brokaw Outs Himself-says liberal bias is an "obligation", conservatives waging a "jihad."Is it mandatory that all news anchors lose their minds right at the end of their careers?

"Brokow is blind to his bias and doesn't like conservatives to disagree."
That, mixed with a healthy dose of venom, pretty much describes Democrats in general.

Is it mandatory that all news anchors lose their minds right at the end of their careers? It is mandatory for them to lose it (and become liberal automatons) in order to succeed. It is long gone long before the end of their careers.

It has been many years since I've watched network news..I'm watching Brit Hume when they are on.

On Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" Jan. 6, he sympathized with Howard Dean and declared George W. Bush is a transparent capitalist tool. Of course at 7 million dollars a year salary, Tommy Boy isn't? What a putz.

In an interview with Jane Hall in the most recent Columbia Journalism Review, Brokaw suggests there is no such thing as liberal media bias ... and then asserts that liberal bias is an "obligation" of journalism. Journalists should "represent the views of those who are underrepresented in the social context, or the political context, and to make sure that they're not overlooked, and that their wrongs get the bright light of journalistic sunshine." This is the problem. The main purpose of journalism should be to just tell the news. What, when, where, why, and how. Like Joe Friday - just the facts, ma'am!
