"And what did Jesus do in a similar situation ...."
Interestingly, Jesus did have a similar situation! And he behaved in a similar manner:
Matthew 21:12--- Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.
Mark 11:15--- On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,
John 2:15--- So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!" His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me."[Psalm 69:9]
John 10:34--- Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods'?" [ref,Psalm 82:6:"I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.'" ]
You are most correct. In this country we are free to worship as we please. This man was wrong to do what he did, because he tried to force others into his beliefs. He is free to speak up about his reasons for believing this church was wrong, but may not infringe on their right to follow their conscience, or invade their private property.
I know that sounds contrary to my former posts; but although I may agree with the sentiment, I, in fact do not agree with the methods. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is strong enough to topple the idols without a man doing it! I was just presenting an argument.
