Hopefully, if anything does happen these morons do not make the mistake of coming to Casa de Commish. Mrs. Commish and I have extensive knowledge and training in firearms usage, and will defend our children and our home.

One slight correction. The person in question is 17, my step-son is 16 -- I fat fingered the age.

Praying that the little crook is picked up before he can act on the threats.

My suggestion would be to have your step-son put out the word that he has parents with itchy trigger fingers.

You might want to consider having the kid go visit family in another state for awhile. That probably sounds drastic, but I've seen sad stories in the papers. The police are not good at protecting citizens. I'll pray for a good outcome.

Send the kid out of the area for awhile. While you may be firearms savvy and willing to use them, unless you can keep the kid locked up all the time, you won't necessarily be there to protect him.

We are definately looking at all our options. We live about 20 miles from their dad's house, and he is staying at our house at the moment. I personally think this little punk is making idle threats, but at the same time don't want to make a mistake that my wife and I will have to live with for the rest of our lives.

"Pre-emptive strike?"

I agree wholeheartedly.

Pre-emptive strike?

What did you have in mind?

Sounds to me as though this is plenty of evidence to pick him up and hold him in jail for another offense. Conspiracy to commit murder. He needs to get it on tape if he can, and turn it in. I would still go to the police and let them in on the plot the "gang" has. Maybe hearsay will be enough for them to bring him in for questioning. Just a thought.

They will get that kid after school some afternoon....get him out of town ASAP
Another good reason to have a Pit Bull in the house...while you are gone...

prayers said for the safety of your family.

DNA testing on the cigarette? Not a high priority for the cops, in a burglary.

May angels stand between you and evil

You're right. If someone threatens you, get him first.
It is better to be tried for murder than murdered!
