J E R U S A L E M, Jan. 14 A young Palestinian woman made history of sorts today in the 3-year-old Arab uprising against Israeli occupation. She killed four Israelis in a suicide bomb attack at the main border crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
Reem Raiyshi, 22, managed to get right inside the border security office with a bomb belt under her clothes. According to the Israeli military, she calmly told soldiers she had a metal splint in her leg that would set off their detector. As she was taken to a special room for a personal search, she blew herself up.
"I heard the explosion," said an Israeli bus driver."Then I saw body parts everywhere."
Three Israeli soldiers and a security guard were killed. The blast also injured seven other people, including some Palestinians.
In a video released by the militant group Hamas, Raiyshi said she had wanted to be a suicide bomber since she was 16 years old.
"I was hoping to be the first woman, where parts of my body can fly everywhere," she said in Arabic on the tape, smiling. "I'm taking revenge against the Jews."
Raiyshi was not the first woman to detonate herself for the Palestinian cause, but she is the first mother. She was married, from a well-to-do family, with a 3-year-old son and an 18-month-old daughter.
She is also the first woman to be used by Hamas for a suicide attack. The militant Islamic group has always said that only men should fight until now. Now it says holy war is the duty of all Muslims, men and women..
Choosing a Cause Over Her Children
At the checkpoint where Raiyshi blew herself up, about 6,000 Palestinian workers are allowed to pass each day to work in Israeli factories. After the attack, Palestinians were quickly rounded up. Authorities said the border would re-open Thursday, but with even tougher security.
"An incident like this will not help us to be more cooperative with the Palestinians," said an Israel military commander.
Within hours of the bombing, a mourning tent went up in Gaza City to prepare for a huge funeral Thursday for Reem Raiyshi.
Relatives say they can't understand how she could abandon her children.
"I love them," Raiyshi said in her video. "Only God knows how much I love them."
But it seems she loved martyrdom more.
I was about to post the exact quote from Ms. Meir. How true, and how sad.
This is also an example as to why the TSA needs to continue to scrutinize all air travelers even if the person does not fall within the traditional terrorist profile. These pukes will stop at nothing to kill us even if it means strapping a bomb to their own children or grandma in a wheel chair.
They must be running low on male morons.
If they didn't, yes. There is of course special redemption in God's plan for the people of Israel, but I've never seen anything in the Bible to indicate it extends beyond the grave.

Unless, of course, you are wrong and she is right. Now THERE'S a scary thought. Then again, maybe you're both wrong.
This really burns my @$$. It should read: "From Mom to MURDERER."
That was my thought...
Israel should take her kids and adopt them out to ultra-orthodox Jews.
Oh I don't know, I hear them yell for the Moshiach from the PA speakers on the drive by Hasidim cars. Seems to me they call on Christ all the time. There is just a bit of a discussion on what his name is.
I figure He knows His name and for the Messiah, that is enough. Same Messiah, because if it is not, what is Christianity? How about the ole football cheer only answer it in Hebrew...
Gimme a J!
Sound of crickets....
-grin-
And this one:
For one, many see Romans 10-11 as the two branches of the tree becoming one as in the Christian Church and the Jewish Faith being melded again together in the Hands of God. If so, then where is the first branch from, if there are no saved Jews, there would not be two branches.
For a second thought, Is a Mexican saved if they believe in the name of Yesus Christi? Is the name Jesus magic, or is it Faith that is seen by God as rightiousness and makes us sons of Abraham?
So what if they have faith in the Messiah, yet do not see who He is? There is a clear indication in the Bible that shows that might be enough, as Christ descended into the depths of Hades/Paradise to raise those who were in Paradise and set them free. Paradise is empty now, it is not refilling for a second resurection. The question then is, how if the Judgement Day has not happened did the souls get sorted?
Simple, those in Paradise believed in the Messiah, before he came, And before they knew his name. That leaves us on the thin ice that God changed the rules for salvation after Jesus, and makes God not the same today as He was yesterday. Hmmm...
Another part from the Bible that addresses this issue is when the sons of the Cohen used the name of Jesus to attempt to cast out the demon from the demoniac. They stated a command to the demon in the Name of Jesus that Paul preached. "And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?" (acts 19:15) So it was not the name that had power but the faith in the Messiah, because they had faith in the Name or they would have not have used it, but faith in the Name is not enough, it is faith in the Messiah.
So, is it enough to believe that the Messiah will make a way, and believe in trust in that Messiah? Or must they also know His name because faith in the Messiah is not enough? That indeed is thin ice, and I will not going to go there.
I have faith in the Messiah. I suspect I know His name. In english it is Jesus. But to say that a man who has spent his life in faith in God and the Messiah is not saved? I suspect the Messiah might argue with that. My guess is that God will surprise us all with His Justice in the end.
ACHMED: "Where's Mama, Abdul?"
ABDUL: "She's right here! And there...and over there...and up there...and it looks like a little of her is under there..."
Serious question: who's picked up Saddam's award plan?
Happy Mothers Day!
Happy Mothers Day!
I am your mom and I've been blown away.
I had lots of crazy friends,
Always throwing stones,
I had lots of dynamite,
I won't be coming home.....
