I saw Owens on Joe Scarborough's show and he couldn't even hold his own to Pat Buchanan.

I say J.C. Watts, and Tom Kean.

Tom Kean, the former Governor of New Jersey? Are you kidding me? Why would we want an out-and-out liberal as Vice President?

Hey, if he can beat God at golf, then Ditka can beat Hillary. Therefore, Ditka look-alikes can beat Hillary.

Although I agree she woudln't be the best candidate in '08, she'd be a great Veep in '08 and she is by no means overrated in either her intellegence or potential.

And also, while what Rush said isn't racist, it was wrong. Did you see McNabb during the last playoff game? He was incredible.

That would still leave the power in the hands of the Clintons if Dean did not remove him. The Clintons will simply replace McCauliffe with another hand picked manipulator, who is willing and able to work for Hillary.

The biggest thing that sticks in my craw with Condi Rice is her frequent defense of dealings with the PLO. A national security adviser should be smart enough to put two and two together with regards to Arafat, his $1bil plus bank account, Hamas and the other terror organizations, suicide bombings, Saudi jihadi money, and infiltration into Iraq. I don't think it was very smart at all to put her own credibility on the line over the Road Map policy, given that the chance of it working was zero, and continued apologia for dealings with PLO terrorists.

If Condi Rice is as smart as alleged, how is it that she became just another in an astonishingly long line of suckers for Arafat?

Santorum isn't viable because he opposes abortion?!?!?!

Funny, I thought George W. Bush, George Bush Sr., and Ronald Reagan all did too, and I noticed they were president at one point or another...

OK, I suggest that we need to play for 2008 too. If the premise is true that the Dems know they can't win in 2004 and are playing for 2008, and I think it is, then we Republicans need to be as forward looking as well. What would be the best thing to do? The Dems can't win in 2004, right? So let's vote in 2004 for a candidate who can win in 2008. Bush should graciously step aside and support--in November 2004--a strong conservative figure who can win the next two elections. :)

Food for thought.... Gov. Jeb Bush has done a pretty much bang up job here in FL. Has a kid that had to do some time for drugs, but did not intervene.

He's been a class act on a personal and professional level. He led the way in getting 10,20, life passed, has been fiscally responsible, and has revamped the education system into something much better than it was.

"Abortion"

She said she is "reluctantly Pro-Choice" ie Pro Abortion

"AA"

During the SCOTUS AA case from Michigan she came out on CNN and said she supported AA for the sake of "Diversity"

"Illegal Immig."

Anyone who is pro Affirmative Action is Pro Illegal Immigrant, guaranteed.

"Palestinians"

She is always bitching and moaning whenever the Israelis kills some Palestinian goon, and she was whining about Israel Building a security fence.

Rice sucks, just admit it - she is RINO all the way.

all true, but I don't think the country will elect a third Bush right after Bush 2.

My guess is Guliani for his post 9/11 performance, or maybe Pataki, for the same reason. RINOs both, I know, but the pickings look otherwise slim in terms of electability.

Benson, Pawlenty, Sanford, Frist, Allen, Carcieri.

There's six for ya. Plus JC Watts (tho he'll probably just go for governor) and Nickles. If you want RINOs, Hagel's already running, and by RINO I mean an attention-seeking, NYTimes-pleasing, Democrat-loving, Bush-hating, McCain wannabe.

I say Jeb runs for Senate in '06 and for Pres in '12 or '16, depending on if we win in '08.

I did see McNabb in the GB game. While McNabb has occasional flashes of brilliance, and showed a few of them in this game, he is prone to costly mistakes, and is very inconsistent in his execution. By no means does he deserve to be listed with the top quarterbacks in the league. He has improved over the season, but even in the GB game he started off 1/5 for 9 yds and a lost fumble... it's hard to congratulate him for climbing out of a hole he dug with his own mistakes. I remain of the opinion that Philly wins because of its defense, despite the anemic offense.
