John Stossel is a good guy. Thanks for posting this.

Hmmm, looks as if I've got another book to go buy.

How he can sit next to Barbara Walters without slapping her remains a mystery to me.

For those of you in the San Francisco/Bay Area:
Please join us as John Stossel explains how his investigations of government waste, fraud and abuse; welfare for the rich; victimless crimes; self-serving interest groups; and sensationalist-media hyping (while ignoring real risks) reveal the crucial need to protect the civil and economic liberties of all people.

Some of my ABC colleagues look away when they see me in the halls. Web sites call my reporting "hurtful, biased, absurd." "What happened to Stossel?" they ask. No doubt. The rats he's taken to exposing see him as mentally ill.
Amongst themselves, they probably refer to it as Bernard Goldberg Syndrome.

I too had liked his reports when I used to watch 20/20.
If Nader is slamming him for being lazy and dishonest, the book might be worth a read.
And if he were to move to Fox, he and Cavuto would make a good team.

Hadn't heard this before. Thanks for posting.

I always thought of him as one of the rare journalists with integrity. I noticed that he was less visible. Of course I try to avoid the established broadcasters unless I want to know what Beijing is thinking.
I hope he moves to Fox News. He would be a super-star there.

On one occasion, when Stossel was that "hard-hitting" reporter, he did a "in your face" interview with a professional wrestler regarding whether professional wrestling was rigged/faked.
The wrestler gave him an open handed slap/cuff. After Stossel fell to his knees, the wrestler asked him if that was a fake.
Of course Stossel sued him and won.
